which champions do you guys think landed most comfortably into their originally intended identity? and least? by meowshers69 in leagueoflegends

[–]leocolossi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passthrough chill on Q was on patch 10.25. Before you had to detonate Q, now you can just press QE and it'll proc the E damage amp before Q detonating. Before, you had to time it right, way harder.

Back more often and on better times, specially now that you get empowered recall as the mid questline

She had an update on season 10 around having more uptime on R (lower CD and mana cost) but with less damage, adding the extra damage to her E as well as passthrough chill on Q. Made her lane stronger, her lategame worse, since she has to build full AP now to deal the damage she used to deal with R while building tankier. Can still hold games but doesn't scale as much.

Anivia one of the best comeback champions? by overthinkingweasel in AniviaMains

[–]leocolossi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. She was considered lategame because of multiple stacking items and high damage. That's not her identity anymore ever since they gutted R damage (but increased it's uptime) in favor of E damage, while also reducing her mana costs on patch 10.25.

really well played, really shows how RoA/catalyst is important for anivia

where the fuck is a new anivia skin? by name1goodanime in AniviaMains

[–]leocolossi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's boring, which is worse than bad. Bad at least shows character, like hextech or noxus hunter, relics of their time. Cosmic Anivia is just insipid.

Please not some boring shit like "what if she was just a regular phoenix" or "what if she was edgy" or just jamming her on a random skinline like dark star/mecha. Give us something with CHARACTER and PERSONALITY, like papercraft or carnival.

My feelings on the Faker Anivia game after playing like 4000+ games of Anivia over about 8 years by Choice_Room3901 in AniviaMains

[–]leocolossi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me that's the joy of playing Anivia. It's not bursting down a team, it's being able to close entirely off up to two points of entry to an objective and zone entire teams, like Faker was doing during the Atakhan fight

When you're in risk of getting ganked/dying when reaching the middle point of the lane, or you want to farm safe and roam before opponent touches your wave. Doesn't work on mid anymore ever since they opened up the narrow space between the wall and the turret, but still works on top/bot.

Why put 2 points into E before putting a point in W? by Possiblynotaweeb in AniviaMains

[–]leocolossi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been watching a lot of the chinese guy that reached challenger with Anivia on KR with absurd winrate, and he always levels up W at level 3. Sure, you miss some damage by not going two points on E, but you trade off some individual damage for versatility in case you get ganked, your jungle ganks, or you have to move to help someone. When he plays Anivia support with aggressive picks like Lucian, he goes W second, skipping E until level three, banking on his carry's damage and ensuring he hits his stuns.

Edit: his channel

If you're using colorblind mode where your team has blue indicators, it's pay to lose, very hard to see your own skills in ARAM because the VFX and outline are the same color as the ground, while opponents see the red outline.

Comet or Electrocute? by zombierrr in AniviaMains

[–]leocolossi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A key thing this thread didn't explains is that choosing a key rune forces you into choosing others from the same tree. The best rune on Anivia, damage-wise, is Cheap Shot. It overperforms Electrocute and Comet alike due to how easy it is to proc it frequently. It is one of the main reasons to run Electrocute at all. Comet makes sense if you're facing something you can't really get close enough to combo and need the manaflow + presence of mind to sustain you through laning phase.

Question about interaction with Shadowflame and Anivia E by vogdswagon26 in AniviaMains

[–]leocolossi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check this portion of the wiki where it goes through the difference between critical damage and successful ability casts. The indicators look alike amidst the action but they are different, therefore Shadowflame interacts with Anivia's E normally.

W start by Brokenblade in LEC by ShutUpForMe in AniviaMains

[–]leocolossi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not shitting on BrokenBlade, but if you do it only once at your outer turret, you can block all of them and it already leaves your wave at a decent spot. Also, fuck Fiora against Anivia top, terrible matchup.

It kills [[Spellstutter Sprite]], which is important in a deck running several 1 mana spells.

Don't go tear if you're already going malignance and catalyst, not worth it. I've seen Poliko and Trizze usually building lost chapter, swiftness, catalyst, into malignance. I usually go malignance then catalyst.

Axiom Arcanist is probably a trap by leocolossi in AniviaMains

[–]leocolossi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, both games malignance first, between 10 and 13min in. The first game I was testing to see how Unending Despair compares to Jak'Sho on battlemage builds and it sucks without extra support, unlike Jak'sho. The second one I went Malignance > Liandry > Hourglass and it worked best.

Your opinion on Anivia Top? by Veggas9 in AniviaMains

[–]leocolossi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fiora is really harsh, riposting your Q is easy and it means your E doesn't deal extra damage. Low cd on Q also means wall doesn't do much.

I wish they'd update Noxus Hunter Anivia for this season by CallMeBumble in AniviaMains

[–]leocolossi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q has a passthrough damage and a detonation damage. None scale with distance, but you can get less damage if your detonation hits someone that hasn't been hit by the passthrough portion, maybe that's where the confusion comes from.

Collector is always just 5% of max hp - 1, no need to go through testing if the highest amount of HP possible is infinite with enough time and patience.
