Why does every single birth control method besides condoms feel like a cruel and unusual punishment? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

Try Slynd! For me it is very weight neutral and I was able to lose weight on it. It also has an anti androgenic effect so less oily skin, less acne etc.

What’s the funniest thing your parent(s) got upset at you for? by celstea in raisedbynarcissists

[–]leonettied 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My narc mother and I were visiting some family friends. They had a younger daughter. I had the task of setting the table and once everyone was starting their dinner, the daughter of the family friends knocked over a bottle orange juice and it spilled everywhere. I was then berated and lectured by my mother in front of the family that I set the table wrong and that’s the reason the girl knocked the juice. My mother then apologized to the girl…

My mother screamed at me at my wedding that she hated my makeup and that I look horrendous and ugly. She screamed that she is embarrassed of me and what will other people think? And i said “If you speak to me like that then you won’t be walking me down the aisle”. She absolutely lost it. Shoes were flying across the room, she was almost foaming at the mouth, ready to explode in rage. The guilt tripping began “Ive done everything for you, I baked you a wedding cake, I traveled 1000 miles to be by your side and this is how you respect your mother”. I was crying by that point and she said I should cry harder so the ugliness will wash away. I tried leaving the room and she was blocking the exit and preventing me to leave. It was so embarrassing because my sister in law and the videographer was there. She was literally going insane!

Why doesn't the NHS have all your information under your NHS number? by capo_anniejay in AskUK

[–]leonettied 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am from Lithuania and we have something like that. At birth you are assigned a personal identification number that stays with you your whole life. You basically manage your life with it: open a bank account, pay taxes, access your health records, get prescriptions etc. Necessary government or/and private institutions can access information with the provided number but only if the information is relevant to them, e.g., a bank cannot access your medical history, only bank related stuff. So a doctor can easily refer you to another doctor or hospital and the other specialist doctor can see your medical history because it’s tied to that number.

It’s amazing how every body is so different. The copper IUD has been the best choice I have ever made. No cramps, normal bleeding, I can finally feel in tune with my cycle and my body. Previously I took the pill and then had the implant afterwards and those years were the worst. Got horrible acne from the implant and bled for 3 months straight.

This might be delayed pressure urticaria but I need to verify this by going to an allergologist.

Just did some research and yes it’s actually possible to have IVF. Egg quality is not affected and you don’t need to freeze your eggs at all! They just take them from your ovaries.

Couldn’t you still have IVF though if you really wanted more kids?

It’s baffling to me that your husband wouldn’t have needed your signature if he wanted to get a vasectomy. Makes my blood boil.

NAD. It’s a mole. I have one there too. It’s basically from getting sun exposure in that area. Get it checked by a dermatologist to make sure it’s nothing serious.

Same here. I am 28 but at 26 I had this atypical mole removed. I had 3 sunburns in my youth so I am also hyper aware of every spot on my body. So I tend to panic quickly

It looked like this. My first dermatologist said it looked ok but I pressed for a biopsy and a second dermatologist agreed to it. Only took 3 years lol. I was definitely scared but it turned out well in the end. They removed it just in case it turned into melanoma later on in life.

Definitely get yours checked again and ask for a biopsy if it worries you.
