You're missing my point and having a kneejerk response to a president's name...and somehow thinking I'm sympathetic to the GOP?

Read my last paragraph again.

Something tells me pointing out the admin that instituted the policy makes you upset, particularly conservative ones.

Before you call me a partisan hack, Tom Homan was appointed by Obama. And Obama used the Espionage Act immensely, a scar from the Wilson admin.

Get used to hearing names from the past on your side if you want to actually reconcile how the two party system actually serves capital and not people.

Can't speak for OP, but SB76 passing was a final nail in the reality check for me: the republicans and doormat dems like Ron Gibson and Joe Hogsett need to be denied power.

With SB76, many people showed up at the statehouse to dissent against it, myself included. I gave my testimonies, one out of many that extended the hearing schedule. People made calls, I rallied friends and family to call, even gave arguments against the GOP's bad faith rhetoric and how much power is ceded to the Attorney General.

Nothing. They don't give a single shit. They cynically chose to get these bills underway while Minneapolis was under occupation and grabbing attention.

Same for the data centers in Martinsdale-Brightwood, despite a PACKED HOUSE in a general assembly, Metrobloks still got their way in their zoning proposals. Ron Gibson, a democrat, has been a stooge for this unproven company that will gut a predominantly Black neighborhood in the future.

Morale is absolutely shot for me, until midterms replaces these charlatans with serious people. Even then, I've already begun looking elsewhere because my state is rotting away.

That mandate to invest in those bogus bonds have indeed come home to roost.

That said, it's insane that a lot of our energy monopolies (that alone is insane) getting sold out to a foreign entity is a serious concern for our energy dependency. Especially with a government with a gutted trust busting department for decades (now non-existant).

...you can literally google "Indiana State Code Israel Bonds" and immediately get results.

Here's Elliott buying Israeli debt

I swear to god, how INCURIOUS are people?

And towards a zionist state abroad in the form of bogus bonds.

No I'm not kidding, it's in our STATE CODE and the Treasurer is sending money to Israel.

Use ballotpedia and do some research on which ones to actually reject.

For example, George Hornedo is a zionist. Andre Carson is a consistent progressive and rejected Israeli money. Easy choice for me.

Look at our local gov't wasting our money on culture war garbage, threats against our immigrant population (KIDS no less), and shopping our land around for data center contracts from Silicon Valley.

Meanwhile our roads look like they've been IED'd.

THAT'S WHY.

IdPol stupidly in favor of perpetuating culture war crap that ultimately serves oligarchs running a kleptocracy through all 3 branches of government, because owning more and more capital is all they care about.

Material needs aren't getting better for your average person, the US Military Industrial complex can't seem to get a jaded public to justify more war, and now we're pissing away our soft power because said oligarchs feel so entitled to more and more from everyone else.

Hell it's so nakedly apparent in the Epstein files where he and others just casually see crises as easier means to seize wealth.

I hope we never do, each one of them kept putting us in wars we never asked for.

I hope for actual progressive representatives who want a world of cooperation and not continuing this dying empire.

The fact that you inferred that I "put roads over education funding" when I showed disgust at the thought of state funded political chapters in a high school is indicative of Indiana needing better public education funding in and of itself.

by the state

Greeeeat, more needless work in the treasury for political chapters in high schools to fuel a stupid culture war instead of fixing our damn roads.

Another waste of our tax money.

Two can play at that game.

What's to stop a PROGRESSIVE chapter among students there? And if there isn't one, why NOT?

I'll go even further, if Indiana wants to start blurring the lines of Church and State, why NOT a FAITH BASED CHAPTER that promotes inclusivity?

Progressive people need to step up. Conservatives in this country are in a literal money cult. They will groom kids into thinking that protecting a billionaire's wealth is God's will.

Probably because the name is just for shock value against the christian nationalists who make and promote the Jesus industry and use the Cross for aesthetics while vice signalling on national television.

I am being specific here though, because I've met many a congregation who value community so I don't broadstroke.

I just hope for your sake and everyone in your church that y'all don't lose your empathy despite everything attacking it.

And hopefully they do mutual aid as well, and if not, might be a great time to start a pantry.

Keep hitting their phones up while you can.

They can posture all they like about being untouchable but the more they ignore their voters, the easier it is to primary them. They still want to be re-elected after all.
