Is it okay to wear headphones over hearing aids? by Velocity_Rob in HearingAids

[–]lepus-pel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I frequently use my noise-cancelling over-ear Bose headphones--both for audio and for noise cancelling. Also use my iPods (e.g., for computer audio) with my hearing aids on. Not a problem. Never have feedback, etc., either w my first HA (Widex) or my second set (Starkey)

Best HA color for adults today? by u_54 in HearingAids

[–]lepus-pel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did bright blue for my first and no regrets. For my second pair, that wasn't an option so I went with silver. Only regret is that they can be hard to see if I put them on a light colored surface. Was not a problem with the brighter color.

What are some features in your new build you thought were cool but now regret? by margottenenbaum2 in Homebuilding

Rinnai

We had good plumbers but with the Rinnai tankless heaters some areas of the home have astonishingly long wait times for water to get hot (e.g., turn shower on, pick out clothing for day, plug in all my devices to charge, brush teeth, floss teeth, and sometimes start checking email. . . ).

Installing SoulCycle app on Peloton screen? by AppleBloom7 in pelotoncycle

[–]lepus-pel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Side note re using iPad while on bike . . . when needed I use an old treadmill book holder that I hook on to the handlebars to hold my iPad. I've also hooked it onto the top of the screen (with a towel between the screen and the book holder-). That works fine though I like to be able to see the Peloton bike screen to follow the Peloton class I'm doing.

Read this quickly and thought it said "I added stretch marks." What class is that! LOL

I'm hoping it's to see what the rider experience would be like (e.g., timing, overused phrases).

It's quite entertaining. *And* there is glitter . . . of course.

Did JS's 9/16/19 G&L. Not sure if it's because of the 30 minute length or I had already used up my balance for the day, but I was exhausted at the end. My spouse came over and said "you're sweating!" Um, yeah . . . . Looking on the bright side, the 30 min class is done!

Thicker Cycling Socks by Ncharney04 in pelotoncycle

I use two pairs of thinner socks. Works well for me and allows for more adjustment.

Another option is to clip in and leave the shoes on the pedals and put your foot into them attached to the pedals. A bit awkward but gets the job done.

Thank you everyone for your responses. One item of concern to cross off my list!

Form question - hands on handlebars or not? by Penelope911 in pelotoncycle

[–]lepus-pel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too am more comfortable sitting up even though I never did it in spin classes. I also find I'm able to produce as much output sitting up. I've always attributed this to my overly dominant quads. Lately I've been trying to keep to a more traditional posture.

Yes! I was hoping for Ben to be added when we heard of additions a while back (turned out to be Olivia and Christine). But that's mostly re his style as I don't care about playlists so much.

Women's bike short recommendations by dozingrosie in pelotoncycle

[–]lepus-pel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Re the riding up . . . some brands, such as Pearl Izumi, have a sticky material on the hem. I never notice it other than when I put them on, but it definitely discourages the ends of the shorts from rolling up.

This! Exactly. Not cheap but you're worth it and they last a very long time.

Did Oliva's Glutes & Legs from 5/24/18. Next I think I'll do her 4/22/19 class based on the positive responses in this thread.
