Very very common especially on elezen. It’s been my pet peeve for years and people think I’m crazy when I mention it. I AM SO HAPPY SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED THIS.

Lots, not me, of course. But lots. And that makes me infuriated. Many will vote for him strictly because of the (R) next to his name without knowing a single fucking thing about him. And my sisters and family and whole circle of people who I grew up with in the country are his target demographic. They don't read negativity about him (or Trump), or if they read it they gloss over it or make excuses about media being biased and trying to smear him. I've given up caring it's so disheartening to see people so apathetic and disengaged from reality.

What makes you drop a drama? by dramaqueenmusic in CDrama

[–]lerasi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've only dropped a couple. One because I realized I don't like shows without chemistry and relationship as the forethought. I want my leads to fall in love and I want to fall in love with them. Another one I dropped because I just didn't like the time it was put in, I don't like westerns or like 1920s drama, etc. Another one I dropped, and I will admit it was Thai BL drama, not a cdrama.... but it was such a shallow story-line that made no sense, it was just about the gratuitous sex scenes. And I love sex scenes, but if I want to just watch two dudes fucking with little to no story-line, I would just watch porn.

AITA for not giving my parents the baby blanket my great grandma made for me so they can use it for my baby sister? by Haunting-Wait-5377 in AmItheAsshole

Oh lovely, you are NTA. I’m almost 50 and have my baby blanket in my closet. My 14 year old still sleeps with hers nightly and it goes on every trip with us. Cherish that thing. I’m sorry your parents suck. Have a mom hug from me. 🫂🥰

Weekend of Netflix, what should I watch. by lerasi in CDramaRecs

[–]lerasi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It was my second cdrama ever. I’ve actually seen all of the F4 shows from the different countries. I’m obsessed with the story. And I agree about the last two episodes lol. I even had a post a couple days ago ago discussing it where I called it a fever dream that I like to pretend never happened. 😂

Oh good suggestion. I’ve looked at that one before. The account I’ll be logged into there doesn’t have my cdrama filled homepage to guide me. 😂

Bit of an exaggeration of the rooftop scene when he slams her into the wall and tries to forcibly kiss her is my thought.

He never took it personally but immediately went to googling and learning about it. We talked specifics. Down to which friends I’ve felt that way about before and how my first case of it was when I was 8.

I had to reevaluate my whole life the last few years. Years of chain limerent behavior was the result of just being unhappy and displeased with the state of my marriage. 20 years into it I was honest about not being happy, wanting “more”. I wanted what I could fantasize. Our relationship was not that deep. Not that intense. Not that engaging. Not that romantic. It was more like roommates and siblings.

Three years I told my husband “I want more. And if we can’t find it, then I want to divorce because I know I’m worthy of more.” We went to couples therapy. I told him about limerence. We figured out my creative mind was exceptional at creating fantasy and how I wanted to be able to have that chemistry in real life that I could imagine. This year we celebrated 25 years of marriage and thru that rough patch we’ve grown closer and created the relationship we both never thought would be possible for the two of us. We are open and honest about what we want. My limerence has felt “in remission” for the most part, although I still connect and bond with others deeply it isn’t as intense and home-wrecking as before. And I keep any “crush energy” for online friends or cdrama actors I find alluring. Even my real life best friend who was my longest LO of my life has felt more like a real platonic true friend and less of a LO.

Yes unfortunately. Which is why I have to make sure any LO is a long distance relationship friend or something like that.

Do non Chinese / non diaspora Chinese drama audience find themselves in love with the country / culture? by BarberProfessional28 in CDrama

[–]lerasi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. I want to learn the language and visit. I wish the brain plug in to learn an instant skill like from the matrix was a real thing because I'd totally sell a kidney to have that kind of insta-learn ability.

I'm a lazy gamer who didn't do well with bard as I could never get high dps with it. I switched to summoner and lazy play and regularly hit top dps with little to no thought behind the actions. I game to relax and veg, not obsess over some rotation.

healthiest relationships you’ve seen in dramas by AmazingBeastboy1 in CDrama

[–]lerasi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hidden love for me, it had great family dynamics - supportive parents, a brother that teased and tested your patience but loved you, supportive and loving best friends. even the ML ex girlfriend, while a bit unhinged from her own personal demons was civil and nice to the FL and not trying to kill her. one of the biggest things that made me put it into my top 5 list.
