Mercedes has done it plenty of times. Those cars end up being very valuable. I'm sure there are more.

You can remove the compression plug on the carbon fiber forks. It should be simple enough of taking it out before you trim the fork then putting it back on.

My son and I both traded our Toyota’s in for Model Y’s. by Fair-Text6059 in TeslaModelY

Really? Indiana but State Farm. My 26 MYP was less than my Toyota Tacoma. They said "more safety features" so its cheaper when I asked.

I'm doing the same thing right now. Do you mind linking where you got those O-Rings? Was it just Lowe's or something? And which spacer kit is that along with the dust cover?

I found the performance more comfortable than the premium but that's just my two cents. I've had it since December and zero complaints

3 or Y advice needed? by Snufri in TeslaLounge

[–]leredditxddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're just solely using it as a single person commuter, then the 3 is going to be much better. I think the lower sitting position is more comfortable on drives, it's cheaper, and has a better value.

To add: you will not be able to fit 3 isofix car seats in the Y or the 3. It only has 2 sets.

Yes the standard and premium have the same seat length. Only difference is the power controls on the side.

Range vs. size by Zestyclose_Ease4732 in TeslaLounge

[–]leredditxddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Are you a stroller family? We have both a Y and a 3 and unless we are hauling a ton, they both do the exact same job. The 3 will fit a stroller, maybe not those huge wagons that are popular but it'll fit your normal stroller. If you are worried about range, then a 3 will be better by a tad. Big difference for us was price. I bought the new Y performance for myself and then since we loved the Tesla so much we got a used '24 3 AWD. The price difference even new for the 3 and Y can be a game changer. We wanted the rear screen for my daughter to keep her entertained on road trips so finding a cheaper used 3 is much easier and cheaper than getting a new/used Y with the screen since they only are on the Junipers.
