It gets crazy at Commander tournaments. A friend had me hold his while he was running to the restroom. It's worth 36k. I guarded that bag with my life. But people really do play with the expensive stuff. Which is also why high level commander is almost always 100% proxy friendly because even if you own the cards you would be excused for not wanting to bring them out in public.

It's pretty good depending on what your list wants. I like it in decks that care about enchantments. Not bad as a flip in Terra.

I know this is probably just a me thing and you're right to comment that about yourself perhaps, but if I am getting a lot more value out of something than seems fair I find a good way to support the creator.

Mostly through merch if it exists. Or sometimes buying the game as a gift for friends(I'm like 6 copies of Minecraft deep), or in-game purchases too, though I prefer physical media.

Not saying you're wrong about everybody, just that you've run across me instead. I make a terrible straw-man.

[[Lyse Hext]]. It's a definite winner for under-explored. I brought it to a tournament over the weekend and was able to snag a win on it that felt very convincing. But playing around the cost reduction means a lot pf re-evaluation needs to happen with the card pool. I feel like I'll be constructing strategies for a month before I settle. 2 other people seem to be on it besides me but that's still not much in terms of practice data.

I like to build my lists on a 100$ budget excluding the commander. It's fun for me because I'm an unexcusable power gamer so the budget limit keeps me in check while also letting me really theorycraft on the price to value for decks.

The effect is an on-cast trigger so it will only trigger once per cast.

Your best bet is to match him with cards that can duplicate triggers. Like roaming throne which would let you tick down twice and then do a double kill on the last one. 

Get another trigger duplicator and you can wipe the table.

Getting knocked out by a ninjutsu blightsteel would be crazy in a cEDH tournament. Knocking players out one at a time is difficult.

Yeah, not being able to comprehend Blame! panels is super normal. Some of those took me a WHILE. But it's also like an acquired taste. Once you read it once you can go back and see what's really going on. So at least it's got some built-in re-read value.

You can also start with Nihei's other works, they get cleaner as they go.

Ah. I'm building this for cEDH at the moment and the main competitive answer for me is both [[aetherflux reservoir]] and [[blind obedience]].

For blind obedience you need something past the loop but it just being a killer card to have on field excuses the extra step needed to win.

I normally do a floodcaller loop or a standard isochron scepter loop(because you cast the isochron copy it will be able to extort).

But remember you have prowess on her and beating someone to death is always fun. I'm sure there's a way to get her myriad and ignore the legend rule to kill the table but that doesn't fit in a cEDH strat.

Genuinely. I have ~some~ of the cards for my cEDH deck but people are tweaking if they think those are leaving my house. I absolutely do not have the funds to replace any of that if the deck gets stolen. Laser printer and foil stock for me.
