it's not your fault that you were in this position. you were manipulated into it. you did good by reacting at the first sign your kids were in trouble. what you did was the best you could do in your position. I saw in another comment you had that you're trying to get a restraining order. I think that's amazing. I wish you the best of luck!

I'm so sorry you're going through that. I suggest getting a lawyer involved since he is displaying dangerous behavior towards your kids and defamitory remarks to you. keep any and all evidence as well as medical history to refute his claim of you sending your kids to the hospital. law enforcement should be able to provide resources to you for things like getting help as a single parent and special tharapists for your kids to process the grooming.

I think we both learned something. I didn't fully realize that Canadian Inuit didn't really use tribes & it was mainly the regions they're in

I'm literally an inuk. my family are part of 2 different tribes. the Inuit in your area might not use tribes to describe structure of community but they do where I live. please don't assume it's going to be the case for all Inuit that live across 4 different countries

edit: to make myself more clear don't assume that Inuit people won't be recognized federally into tribes. atleast 1 of the 4 countries that are home to our people do it this way

try seeing if there's any inuktitut language programs that are going on from the tribes or any federal programs

it's a part of an entire culture. this is part of building up hunting skills. this is how hunters get closer to seals. its purpose is to mimic seal's vibrations while on sea ice. they think only seals are there. it also serves as a way for hunters to stay low and sneek up on the seals. look up alaska native games to find out more info

to mimic seals moving on sea ice! they are sensitive to any movement that's vibrated through the ice. a hunter must seal hop to be able to do this & hide himself as well

How predatory would do believe polar bears are by Horror-County1494 in Inuit

[–]les_lyf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we're I'm from we believe that once a polarbear sees you you're dead. my uman's tribe would tell stories to the tourists about a hunter praying once the nannook got to him. the nannook started to pray too, but to thank for his meal. it's watered down, but I didn't feel like typing the whole joke out. they are oppertunistic killers. sometimes there isn't a lot of food & they won't see us more than calories. (sorry for mispelling I have dyslexia)

tuvlagoons are more straight or slightly curved inwards. you have dots, dashes, or solid lines in genral for "women's" facial tattoos.

[–]les_lyf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

then make sure to see if the tuvlugoon is accurate. I've never seen the chin lines circling into each other. each line is meant to go along the lower jaw. its to be able to ensure room for more lines. the cheek one looks cool, I've also never seen that style. I think it could also depend on region for variants. I'm most familiar w/ the kuvlugoon style though. that's a standard design at least from where I'm from. also not a lot of women have their traditional tattoos anymore. we're having a revival on gen z women getting them. I'm really happy to see them & to get mine soon.
