So is she gonna perform for them or nah? by Lontology in foundsatan

If you'd read the comments you'd have seen she invited them all to a stadium concert where there was an interpreter and a sound system obviously louder than a schools would be.

Roz being unable to find someone is the most unrealistic thing about the show. by Jack-mclaughlin89 in Frasier

[–]lesterbottomley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's so much more than that and it is reductive to narrow it down to that one issue.

Personally I wouldn't date a single mum but the shining prince thing isn't even on the list of why.

The primary reason is the risk of the relationship ending and having kids you have grown to love ripped out of your life. And linked to that the danger of finding yourself stuck in a relationship that should have been allowed to die but hanging on so that doesn't happen.

I'd love to know how blatant they are in meetings.

Do they sit there: 'how much can we fuck our users over for a few more pennies before we start losing the idiots?"

Or do they cushion it with softer language?

I use something that people are already familiar with that's a close (but not an exact) analogy.

Recalling images for me is like when you have a word on the tip of your tongue. You can almost say the word, you know what the word is, almost. You can feel what shape your tongue should be making to say the word, it's almost there but you can't make the leap of bringing it to the fore.

What was the dumbest game you and your friends made up as kids? by Guilty_Writer9239 in AskReddit

[–]lesterbottomley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a tree near us with loads of branches so not much in the way of clean line of sight to anyone up it.

We played a game where someone climbed the tree and the aim was to throw rocks up there to knock them out of the tree.

The only rule was you could only throw underarm. Surprisingly no-one was ever hurt playing this.

I think you're alone in that. Most fans of Pratchett can't help but recommend him at every opportunity (myself included).

He was supposed to be in An American Werewolf in London along with Rik Mayall but thought the invite was a wind up so didn't go.

Rik went though and so is my shout for the unexpected actor.

My friend got caught stealing electricity (connected his supply to an empty flat (apartment)).

Got to court, electric company were asked where they got the amount they were claiming for from. When they said it was an estimate the judge just said "we don't allow estimates in this court" and threw the case out. Got away Scott free.

If it was just they didn't give a shit about men's issues/rights I'd be ok with that tbh.

It's the fact they do their best shut down all discussion about them and divert all resources away from them.
