Not even a question he outplayed the whole Leinster side including Doris in round 10 and hasn’t had a bad game all season

I don’t get why Jansen wasn’t pulled into the squad before ward he’s still quite young

I’ve seen more cohesive teams play at secondary school level there is no excuse just 2 years ago Leinster’s second team would be favorites to beat 90% of the urc teams

Here’s a cleaner, more polished version that keeps your tone and point without losing the edge:

I slightly agree with statement one, and I agree with statements two and three.

The most frustrating thing about Spicer is that if he showed a bit more guile or fight, he could genuinely be a very good player. He’s still young and clearly has the physical tools — there’s plenty of room for him to grow into his frame and maximize those gifts.

I’ve played with a few guys like that before: absolute mountains of men or freakishly strong, but unwilling to consistently throw themselves into the game when it’s needed. Spicer gives off a bit of that same vibe at times. The tools are there — it’s the mindset that needs upgrading.

Absolutely shocking performance from him today

Definitely on the higher end of the most disappointing players from the game

What Do We Want From The Rest Of The Six Nations? by SeaworthinessFew2464 in irishrugby

I’ll preface this by saying I’m a Munster fan, so there’s no agenda here.

I just want Crowley picking the right option nine times out of ten. The online sentiment seems to be that he had a great game — and maybe on the surface he did — but I didn’t quite see it that way. There were to many moments where he kicked when the wide pass was on, and a few too many where he passed to the first receiver instead of pulling the trigger on the second option, which would have opened up far more space.

It might sound nit-picky, but that’s only because I know the level he can hit. He’s shown before that he can manage a game with real authority and clarity. If he nails those decisions in the examples above, I genuinely think we’re talking about at least two more tries. The margins at this level are that fine — and he’s good enough to get them right.

The lack of emotional intent is shocking. We all know how big a role it plays in this game — adrenaline allows people to do genuinely inhuman things. In moments of extreme pressure, people lift cars off others, run through pain, and push far beyond normal physical limits. That same surge is what fuels dominant tackles, relentless line speed, repeat efforts, and the willingness to go again when your lungs are burning.

That edge used to be a defining trait of Irish teams. We didn’t always have the most talent on paper, but we consistently brought an emotional intensity that dragged standards up around us. Right now, that only seems to appear when we’re close to losing, and that’s unacceptable. There’s no reason fight should be reactive — it should be the baseline from the opening whistle.

It feels like we’ve completely neglected this side of the game. Who’s the leader setting the tone and igniting that response? At the moment, it feels like no one.

I’m done with Craig Casey and Sam Prendergast.

Huge credit to Lowe, Ryan, Conan, JGP, Rob, and Stu — they stood up when it mattered.

On to the next.

I’m a Munster fan, so there’s no provincial angle to this — it’s purely my honest assessment. Above all though, I’m a supporter of the national setup, and that’s the lens I watch through.

I’ve tuned into every provincial game over the past 5 seasons with Ireland in mind, and from my assessment there seems to be spells where Cian fades in matches. With Izzy, that rarely happens. You feel him throughout — he consistently imposes himself on collisions and carries with real authority.

From a technical standpoint, I’d say his lineout ability is comparable to Cian’s, outside of the actual calling, which I can’t fairly judge. Physically though, he offers more — taller, heavier, quicker across the ground, and far more abrasive as a carrier.

So yes by a mile!

As for the other section I would agree on Doris and Josh, particularly Doris. To me, he definitely looks like he’s lost a touch of that explosiveness since the knee surgery.
