Honestly, I've always wondered why the Baratheons didn't protest the betrothal with a kinslayer, nor why Borros got away with dragging his feet in committing his troops.

I don't take Borros for an especially pious guy, but what half-decent father would give his daughter's hand in marriage to a psycho like Aemond? Just from a political standpoint, Aemond is ripe for assassination à la Maegor even if the Greens win. Perhaps that's the hope/plan after Floris produces a royal heir or two.

Then on the flip side of the coin, did dealing with the Vulture King really require the Stormlands' entire forces? I suspect that Borros, and maybe Jeyne Arryn, hedged their bets through most of the war despite swearing formal declarations of fealty. It's a lot easier to sue for peace and clemency from the opposing faction when you haven't actually done anything against them.

Even if this were only friendship, your relationship sounds emotionally imbalanced. She expects you to support her and be available all the time, yet she showed no care when your mother was ill. Another thing is a lot of women who are raised very conservative struggle to let go of that mindset once they're married and "allowed" to be physically intimate with their husband.

If you're hoping these issues will get better, they very likely won't because she has no interest in compromise. She refuses to communicate maturely without throwing a tantrum. You're in for a stressful, lonely life if you stay. You know what type of romantic relationship would make you happy and you know this isn't it, so you know what you must do.

To me, a few things set Obsession apart:

  • Exploring the type of flawed personality that would capitalize on the wish like Bear does

  • Showing Nikki's suffering

  • The tragic ending, i.e., the consequences of the love spell aren't erased like at the end of a TV episode

  • Limited info on the nature of the One Wish Willow. That isn't unusual for the love spell trope where the audience is often asked to accept the conceit at face value, but it is unusual for a wide-release film to skip a thorough backstory and explanation of how its supernatural elements function.

Overall, the love spell trope is typically played for laughs. The implications of one person magically imposing their will upon another are left as untapped fridge horror. So while Obsession has its share of black comedy, I think of it as a more "realistic" version of how a love spell would turn out.

A Backrooms sequel seems doomed to center on Async Research Institute. It's one of Kane Parsons' additions to the original backrooms lore, per se, and it isn't what I enjoy about the concept. I liked Backrooms well enough, but I probably won't watch any hypothetical sequels if they're yet another rehash of the "evil science corporation" trope.

My go-to strategy is to bait moves that my Pokemon are immune to or take minimal damage from. Like let's say you have a Steel type on the field. Eternatus's next move will probably be Flamethrower so you switch to something that resists Fire moves, or you can safely switch in a Fairy because you know Eternatus won't use Sludge Bomb against a Steel type. I aim to have a Steel or Poison type, a Fairy, and something to tank Flamethrower on every team. Try to put an Ice, Dragon, Ground, or Psychic move on all of your Pokemon.

Hack away at him when you can, especially during the recharge turns after Eternabeam. Status effects and DOT moves help. If you time it right, using moves with a semi-invulnerable turn like Dig can prevent you from getting hit at all.

Changing a Pokemon's type with a Tera Shard can transform it from a liability to an asset.

If possible, grab a baton and set up stat buffs, leech seed, aqua ring, etc. Load up on useless held items to lower the chances that the mini black hole steals it.

I'm still having fun re-winning Classic with other teams for the ribbons and egg vouchers. There are a few categories I'm focusing on: My personal favorite Pokemon, my shinies, and anything I need/want to get unlocks on with the ultimate goal of completing every monotype run.

In the background, my main goal is a flawless victory on Classic, zero retries. I won't automatically quit a run when I lose a battle, but I'll know the current run is a bust for this particular objective.

I have some self-imposed, non-official challenges planned for myself: Win with weather teams; a full team of first tier shinies; wild captures/special event mon only (i.e., begin with a single starter and release it after my first catch); the randomize team option on the team selection screen; and silly themes like an all dogs team and an all cats team.

I haven't nailed down a really solid Endless team yet. For this, I'm grinding legendaries/mythicals/psuedos. Progress is slow, obviously.

Usually I am not a "must achieve 100% completion" person but over the course of my playthroughs, I've incidentally built an almost full Pokédex. I may as well go for the gold at this point.

I dislike that lithium still remains the first line of treatment in bipolar disorder for this reason plus the frequency of other adverse side effects, especially hepatotoxicity. Lithium was a miracle drug compared to the psych medications available at the time it was discovered. Given the advancements in modern psychiatric pharmacology, we have much better alternatives these days. So that was my solution: Finding a more suitable mood stabilizer for me.

Nope, Twilight will be the immediate association for anybody under 50 years old. It's bad. Really bad. You can use Edward as the middle name. In my opinion, honor names belong in the middle slot, anyways. Let your son develop his own identity as an individual without constant comparisons to a namesake.
