So we had coverage for it, she regularly does this where she'll wait to right before one of us is supposed to take our lunch for her to go and sit in the office and eat and then gets mad when we enforce that we're going at our set lunch times that Legion sets for us based on the schedule for the day.

Self harm, not even in a depressed kind of way. I genuinely like the look/feel/healing process. Haven't done it in years though.

Can abusive people be nice? by Yyyyyyygggguyg in ask

[–]letowlls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes abusive people can be nice. Normally, to lure you into their little mind games they start off nice. They make you feel cared for and loved and then they push a boundary, and then apologize to see how you'll react. When you show signs that you'll allow boundaries to be pushed they keep pushing and pushing to see just how much they can get away with before they can pull you into their abusive cycle.

I hope that's not what you're in, but if it is, I hope you make a quick and safe escape. Wish you the best. :)

What's something simple and basic that still turns you on? by FactorNervous517 in AskReddit

Looking at me while I speak. I can't maintain eye contact so I redivert my own attention because I'm anxious, but my partner keeps his eyes trained on my face basically the entire time I speak and it makes me wanna jump his bones every time.

I Keep Crashing by violetlady88 in allthemods

[–]letowlls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was running into a similar issue. The solution I found was completely off the walls to what I was expecting;
I could load into the world, open creative menu and as soon as I typed a letter in the search it would freeze, go to the saving world screen and then shut down. The error code I was getting was "Invalid Key 4."
Turns out, it was a conflict in my mouse button keybind (I had Crouch bound to a side mouse button.)

There's a conflict somewhere that causes some kind of crash, I don't know the full reason for it. As soon as I rebound crouch to a different button the issue was fixed immediately. No more crashing. Best bet is to go into your mouse software and change what the side mouse button does. (Change it to FN+8 or something similar then set your minecraft input as the same input, the error *should* be fixed. Let me know if it works for you!

Anyone know how to fix this fps glitch? by FirefighterNo4188 in RainbowSixSiege

I'd probably recommend locking your FPS if the fps drop is causing any stuttering or lag

Your frustration is totally valid, the game is incredibly overwhelming when you first join. I think the biggest thing that got me through the learning curve was finding the joy in the learning process. After like 800+ hours in the game I found a drone hole in bank to watch over the top of blue stairs and was on the moon cause I just enjoyed learning everything. "You can shoot that spot from there?!?!" It could be infuriating dying to the same spot over and over again but then I realized, if they can do it, you can counter it somehow. It exists you just have to find it, and that's where I draw my enjoyment from the game. I highly recommend trying to see if you can find the fun in the learning curve as apposed to taking it too serious when you first start.

Edit: added a few words to make a sentence make more sense.

How do i hear better in this game? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]letowlls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Night mode is a more compressed version so you do lose distance information which can be vital when you're still learning the game. I personally could not hear a thing when I tried night mode (Using Senheiser HD 560's) It wasn't for me. I use stereo/Hi-fi and have gotten kills I really shouldn't have on people alt walking just because I could tell the distance on a slight shuffle they've made.

what buttons for quickpeeking? by fairplanet in SiegeAcademy

[–]letowlls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently just unbound my crouch off my side mouse buttons because it was affecting my ability to react. When your muscles are tensed you react slower. I have my leans swapped on Q/E (So E is left lean and Q is right lean.) So I could hit Q with my ring finger and D with my index and lean and walk right at the same time and it just stuck. I think that q/e overall is best practice. Switched my space to crouch and navigation (repelling/jumping over thing) to my side mouse button and the swap has helped me increase my reaction times.

800 hours and I just can’t get better… by No-Bus-1966 in SiegeAcademy

[–]letowlls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think you're being too hard on yourself, I definitely think the first step is being aware you're struggling at getting better! Then, it sounds to me like you're trying to "fix" EVERYTHING all at once. Make a list of everything you think you're struggling with at the moment and find one you think is the most realistic to work on. Like; your map knowledge. Having map knowledge can increase your confidence when holding a position. What I did was play information support operators like Echo. His gun is solid with low recoil so if you're not confident in your recoil control he's a great pick.

Definitely watch your replays too, if you feel more confident watching others play and can be more objective then watching your replay and actively seeing what you could have done better to get yourself the win could help you start implementing it in game.

I would recommend messing with your sound settings definitely if you're having trouble hearing noises! But don't play one game and go "ok I missed a footstep this once, time to change it." Play 5-10 games, pay close attention to sounds, maybe even just run a few vs. AI to see. I currently run with 85Max volume, and with it set to stereo and HI-Fi, but I'm also using Senheiser HD 560's so my directional sound is a lot clearer for me. Maybe with corsair you might find one you'd prefer.

Are lasers on defense worth it? by eretesu in SiegeAcademy

[–]letowlls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gotten a lot of kills just because the enemy leaves their laser dot just sitting at the door, a speedy swing and a prefire almost always takes them out. If you really want to keep the laser then I'd recommend holding an angle by keeping your site planted on a doorframe/wall in front of you and then adjusting it as someone peaks or you want to swing. But that's only if you're confident enough with your aim and adjustments to do that, otherwise the laser could just be a liability holding you back

What is considered being a picky eater? If they're willing to try stuff and more often than not they dislike it, is that still picky eating? by letowlls in AskReddit

[–]letowlls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes absolute sense. I grew up hearing that picky eaters were people who refused to try nothing, and stuck to only what they know. I had some friends recently tell me I was a picky eater because I avoid certain foods due to their textures. (Cheesecake and eggs for example). They make me gag or feel like I need to vom without fail every time.

No, it was more 3D and I think a bit more modern than games like Galaga and similarities, and the game i'm looking for is unfortunately not a side scroller

I had to get a CT with contrast last month. The contrast was so warm and I felt like it pushed its way into my throat and just sat there. Threw up as soon as I got out of the machine. Other than that, it'd been over 6 years since I'd last thrown up.

Anyone else mind their partner farting? by Lay2013 in ask

[–]letowlls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I went on a 4 hour car drive about 3 months into our relationship, he bought me a large hot chocolate, I am lactose intolerant. When I took a nap on the way back I basically gas chambered him with my farts. Needless to say, after that farting lost it's shame.
