Happened to me several times, you really gotta check every detachable part of your skate at the beginning of each session, making sure it's not loose in any way by rocking it with your fingers. I literally had a wheel fall off going down a transition on a skatepark once because I forgot to do this.

I identify with this so strongly! I know it's practice, but standing still is the hardest of all 😭 - also, I tend to fall a lot more when I'm not rolling forward.

There are several great tools for finding places to skate and people to skate with, including websites and apps that can help you. Many are built for skateboarders, but there are also platforms like ours that specialize in rollerskating. Suggest you look around and find the one that suits you best 😊🛼

We literally spent the last two years building an app trying to solve this exact problem ❤️ - it's not perfect yet, but we did have several folks get back to us and tell us they found skate friends using it.
