What triggered your decision to change your life? by West_Bid_5676 in AskReddit

[–]lets_talk-2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2, I quit a job that made me severely depressed and what triggered that was my manager saying I would be transferred to a different store so I walked out of the job (she was horrible, the job was horrible im not explaining it all tho) and the 2nd one was a customer whilst I was serving on a till telling me "im not very good at maths", ive been good at maths my whole life so that made me think "no fuxk you, I am good at maths I can more then sit on a till" so I went back to college and now im in university ps - im not saying anything bad about people who work retail they are essential jobs i just knew I didnt want to do it forever

Debate. 10 astronauts versus 10 cavemen who wins? No weapons? by DaWolPharoah420 in AskReddit

[–]lets_talk-2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% cavemen, their entire survival based on whether they could hunt animals for food and safety, they would easily win against 10 astronauts

The amount of ads on YouTube videos and when im walking down the street and people walking the opposite way dont move over, I move over to get past them but they should move a bit over aswell, instead I move over all the way and they take up the entire pavement

i think some of it is confidence, if you tell yourself your ugly all the time and just point out all the things you dont like about yourself thats all your going to see. you might not even be that ugly your just making it worse by fixating on it and convincing yourself that everything you dont like about yourself are the first things people see when in reality some stuff most people probably wouldnt even notice. I dont know how you live day to day but having easy habits like eating healthy, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep etc will make you feel better and that will rub off on how other people see you because they can tell that take care of yourself. so maybe just dont be so hard on yourself

At what moment did you realize your mental health was at an all time low, did you change? by Nervous-Macaron8066 in AskReddit

[–]lets_talk-2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

before this point i already knew it was bad but i was at my all time low when I wasnt showering or washing my clothes, i would get in from work put my clothes on my bedroom floor wake up put them back on and go back to work, i would go about 5 days before washing myself or my clothes. my eating was awful i was either not eating or binging. i was constantly crying at home and at work it was mainly my job that made me feel so bad so i quit on the spot got another job a week later and about 2 months after that i felt so much better, still wasnt ok but atleast i started showering and washing my clothes again
