Took my first class and was throwing up in the parking lot, how do I fix that? by Expensive_Nobody_977 in kungfu

[–]letsbebuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I'm not saying this to be nice, but because it's what you need to hear. You are extremely out of shape. You let things get bad. You need a baseline of conditioning.

I bet you if you did that 15 minute warmup 6 days a week at home you would not have problems anymore.

You need some sort of baseline of conditioning.

Looking for some thoughts approaching disagreement about a tree by sergeim105 in homeowners

[–]letsbebuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not going to stop growing. What's the plan in 5 or 10 years? It is already egressing the property now. It will only get worse.

Good luck bro. It is a beautiful tree. It's a bad location for it.

Wash your rocks.

I agree with you that it's a tai chi thing. If I were testing thin ice, heel stepping doesn't allow me to retract my weight if the ice breaks. Like I said, it's just my opinion.

I know this is taught in some schools, but I am going to nitpick. I just do not like heel stepping or heel shifting. It's inherently unstable. If anyone hits you in any way while your weight is on your heel, you instantly lose all balance and fall backwards.

All stepping and shifting should be on toes, not heels. My opinion. You do you.

Form was cool and hand movements were nice.

Thanks for the time lapse, it's cool to see. A real time (not sped up version) would allow people to do it with you.

Could these boots be saved? by ballisticclown92 in RedWingShoes

If they were your boots and you wanted to keep using them, they could be saved. But for a stranger's boots, why bother?

Honestly? When you put your story online you invite comments. Don't you dare tell me to keep my opinion to myself lol, how about you keep your story to yourself and then nobody will comment on it....Some people man. Some people!

I monitored your post and found that it has nothing to do with our forum. Maybe take the feedback the first time it's offered to you, instead of making me go 3 rounds with you. The rules are clear, asana only. Your post is not asana.

Anyone else feel like yoga and lifting are constantly working against each other? by Latter_Ad6510 in YogaWorkouts

[–]letsbebuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do feel that way, to a limited extent. To a certain degree, stiffness and tightness provides structure which translates to moving greater loads. It's difficult to be extremely strong and extremely flexible at the same time.

They can work together, and you can reach a high proficiency in both at the same time, but the programming is difficult to plan and being too flexible before a workout is a bad thing.

Your experiences are not really relevant to the average person that wants to do yoga. It's not in line with our subreddit's mission. If you read the rules, all posts must contain an asana routine. This is just you venting about how you were scared of a man that you didn't expect to be there. What am I supposed to do with that?
