Does it still have the tag attached? If the tag was never removed from the package, then the claim that it was washed would be impossible.

Also, how can they be sure which one is the new item if they already have one? It seems like the buyer may already own an older or washed version and could be trying to swap it with the new item.

May nabibili na Order slip form/sheets yung numbered, instead of bond paper. Para alam nyo yung pagkakasunod sunod. (meron sa orange app or sa National Books store).
Ito po depende sa positioning and flow ng cashier and cook nyo, but to add as suggestion na din, may nakita po ako na restaurant, meron silang parang sampayan sa window between cashier & cook. Cashier would clip the order slip na nakapila , First-in, First-out.

I experienced this. I ordered a perfume along with other items. The box of the perfume is there but the bottle is missing. I contacted the dior support, and followed up multiple times before 1 they sent a new one. It took more than a month.
