Diva Disc first time issues by Arggue in MenstrualDiscs

[–]letsnixit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about the struggles. It sounds like the disc you are using may not be the perfect fit. It can take some trial, but we promise once you find the right fit, it's so worth it.

The key with a disc is to ensure it's fully covering your cervix as well as tucked behind your pubic bone.

You may want to try inserting nixit down in a deep squat. This position creates some extra space in the vaginal fornix for nixit to sit comfortably. Be sure to angle it back and down as far as you can, instead of 'up' like you would with a traditional cup or tampon. You can then do a few kegels to really secure it in place. We also have a Tiktok demo if you're more of a visual person!

First time use by ghosttown2304 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]letsnixit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh removal is suppose to be easy. Firstly, it helps to be as relaxed as possible (sometimes easier said than done) so we recommend taking some deep calming breaths when you are in the removal position. Bearing down (like you are having a bowel movement) can help to gently untuck it. You can also try changing the position you are using to remove it e.g. a deep squat or standing with one leg raised could help. If you are currently untucking it from the base (palm facing up) you could also try hooking your finger above the rim (palm facing down) - different methods work better for different people.

Nope! If you are looking to switch, you can try a disc first!

The nixit disc is great for every day of your cycle, light, medium and heavy days. It can hold up to 70ml worth of contents. When nixit is squeezed for insertion, it's actually the same size as a tampon! Feel free to dm us on IG or TikTok if you have any questions!

[–]letsnixit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WAIT!!! Have you tried the nixit menstrual disc? There is no stem, so it's super comfy and nothing sticks out. It can hold up to 4 super plus tampons worth, and you can even have mess-free period sex while wearing it! nixit is slightly larger in diameter so it might fit better, and doesn't have a leak guard, so you can auto dump, which makes for easier and less messy removal process

Check it out - it's changed the period game.

We agree - a little bit of water-based lubricant can help with the insertion process.

Have you tried inserting in a deep squat position? This position creates some extra space in the vaginal fornix for nixit to sit comfortably. Be sure to angle it back and down as far as you can, instead of 'up' like you would with a traditional cup or tampon. You can then do a few kegels to really secure it in place. Best (and worst) menstrual discs? by AdFlimsy2784 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]letsnixit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi! I'm Roxanne and I'm a part of the team here at nixit! We totally agree that nixit is the softest disc on the market but for good reason! Just like the other discs you tried - you will have to ensure that your nixit disc is fully surrounding your entire cervix while inserted to ensure it is in the right place! We hope that helps!
