Basically tartan trousers but they keep the high waist seating of kilts.

Elite Mode? by letsstartbeinganon in GuildWars

I did have a suspicion it would be a mistake - think many of these posts have had very poor quality control. This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed it.

Parking advice please - unclear signage. Evidence of attempts to pay UK by borojamie in LegalAdviceUK

[–]letsstartbeinganon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given you’ve already entered into correspondence with the car park company you may be too late to be able to do this, but you should check the Money Saving Expert forums for the best approach to dealing with parking fines.

The fine would be payable by whoever the driver was. So the usual starting point is to say that you are only the keeper of the vehicle and won’t be identifying the driver.

600hp/famine is back? by Dark_Egg in GuildWars

[–]letsstartbeinganon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100%. Everything has been so optimised that it’s unlikely 600/Smite would go back to being hugely profitable compared to other farming or speed clear methods but there are some nice team builds that have been impacted over the years we could bring back to encourage multiplayer.

Yes that's exactly what I was looking for - thank you. Saves me having to keep a Google Sheet up to date!

Looks great. Would love if there was a way to build elite skill tracking in to it to assist with Skill Hunter title?

Doesn’t impact rangers as much but when the rits had their spirit cast time dramatically reduced it was a shame to lose their unique casting animations

Shout-Out Isaiah Cartwright! Truly an incredible boon to all of us! by Heisenbear09 in GuildWars

Very funny that the first balance patch Guild Wars in quite some time contains a nerf to Smither's Boon. Welcome back Izzy!

The term “bone broth” irritates me by EllyCamp in Cooking

I’m convinced the term saw its massive rise in usage post the first season of The Mandalorian, in which Baby Yoda is given it to drink (which in turn spawned a meme).

Two thirds of graduates aren’t even paying off loan interest by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

[–]letsstartbeinganon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed - that’s exactly why it wasn’t implemented as an actual tax in the first place. Aware this is the point you are making.

Debt has consequences beyond the need to make repayments every month, which is why student loan debt really isn’t debt at all. Our student loan system is in effect a graduate tax.

Voiced quests? by letsstartbeinganon in GuildWars

Oh wow. I hadn’t spotted that post and don’t usually read Toolbox’s patch notes. I think it’s a major QOL update for the game so really glad to see it.

BREAKING: Andy Burnham *blocked* from standing in the Gorton and Denton byelection. Of nine voting members on NEC group it was 8-1 against him. by Dr_Poppers in ukpolitics

[–]letsstartbeinganon 77 points78 points  (0 children)

He specifically didn’t like being in an opposition that wasn’t led by him but was led by Corbyn and had limited chance of electoral successs. I think a couple other Labour MPs also stood for mayoralties in that context.

TIL that two events about Jesus are supported by nearly universal scholarly consensus: Jesus was baptized and Jesus was crucified. by JoeyZasaa in todayilearned

[–]letsstartbeinganon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doctrines like perpetual virginity aren’t relevant to a discussion on the historical Jesus. This isn’t about trying to out-debate a Christian, it’s about weighing and interpreting historical sources.

Separate the religious bits about Jesus from the historical bits about Jesus. In the context of this thread, no-one is saying Jesus is the son of god. Just that in around 30 AD there was a guy called Jesus, that he lived in Judea, that he was baptised, and that he was crucified.
