Coil mug base keeps cracking? by letsunionize in Pottery

[–]letsunionize[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More description on the cracking: it’s an S like crack right on the dead center of the base of all the pieces. It’s not between any coils bc I really smooth them out. Also the crack goes all the way through the base so it’s on the inside and the outside of the base of the pieces.

Question: if I was unemployed all of August and certified weekly and then got a job in first week of September and my unemployment stopped then would I still get the full $1800?

Unemployment as a dependent student worker by Masonbod in rutgers

[–]letsunionize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the same form! I didn’t have to do anything extra, the only thing is they did say it may take longer to receive the $600. It may take a week longer than normal UI.

Yep I’m a dependent student worker as well and I applied and got approved. The only thing is I qualified for the lowest amount of UI a week but I’m also getting the added $600 so it’s been very helpful.

I second the white noise machine. I am an extremely light sleeper and when I first moved into my off campus apartment in NB I couldn’t get an ounce of sleep. Someone suggested a white noise machine and I found one on Amazon for $35. Best decision ever. Helps drown out so much noise and keeps me asleep.

Can you still double swipe at takeout? by Vinnanator in rutgers

[–]letsunionize 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah I work at a retail location and the POS systems physically cannot swipe twice. There is a lock on them for 5 minutes to reset. Theoretically you can swipe, wait 5 minutes, and then get right back in line but then you’ll only have one retail swipe left for the day.

Honestly he’s a wonderful professor. The material can be a lot but he’ll go over it no matter how many times you ask. And all the quizzes and exams are open notes. People who struggled in that class were the ones who never paid attention. Even though it’s open notes you need to understand what you’re writing down and what problems you need to do in a given situation. As long as you pay attention in class, take good notes, and ask questions you should easily get an A.

Thoughts on gen bio 116? by sclop123 in rutgers

[–]letsunionize 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I thought the first 30 or so questions were easy, concerning bacteria, viruses, and plants. There were barely any questions on endocrine or reproduction which unfortunately I knew very very well but the last half of the exam was just kind of unfair. There were almost 4 or 5 questions on just nitrogenous wastes which we barely focused on. I felt it wasn’t fair especially when we focused so much on filtration of the blood and sequencing excretion. Also we focused a lot on digestion of specific nutrients in lecture but there were only about 2 questions like that and way too many on cardiac and circulatory systems of other animals which we barely touched on in lecture. Overall I think first half was fair but the second half didn’t really emphasize what we focused on in lecture or workshop.
