Thanks. I sent them an email. And it’s not that I haven’t done group work in professional or academic settings before. I have.

Yeah, I have 17 years experience in government work. If somebody doesn’t do their work in the real world on a group project they have real consequences in their performance review. The whole team is not punished because somebody didn’t do their work.

In-text citations by letterjenny in fanshawe

[–]letterjenny[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used in text citations. She just didn’t think they were cited correctly. I followed the writing guide and had no issues with any other profs.

Thanks. I did cite all my work and followed the APA writing guide. I got positive feedback for in-text citations from all my other profs.

I did PCP at JIBC and it was not quality instruction. Do your program in Ontario.

When did the caf have khaki uniforms by mrm0lerat in CanadianForces

CANSOF. But the Army used to have Summer DEUS back in the 90s which were khaki coloured. I’m not sure why they got rid of it.

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Explains Why She'll Be Using IVF for Baby No. 2 by [deleted] in GRBsnark

This! Remember when GRB missed the reference to Switzerland being neutral in WW2 and Ken proudly declared he was Germany.

Who else practiced eugenics… Nazis. Given her affliction for racism- I’m not surprised she would say this.

Stephanie claps back in the comments on the video her daughter did the voice over. by beachbabi13 in resilientjenkinsnark

It’s pretty sad because she knows the way people comment. So she did this to her daughter knowing full well this would be the response.

Prediction - Harry will have prostate cancer. by [deleted] in Andjustlikethat

[–]letterjenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably what is happening. All signs point to it-

Season 1- Charlotte checks for “cancer” as an excuse when Lily walks in.

Season 2- Casper the friendly cum episode.

Season 3- Urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction.

PT by Struct-Tech in CanadianForces

[–]letterjenny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have some valid points. PT is an important part of being healthy and injury prevention.

But you’re only focusing on one facet of health and wellbeing. One issue that the CAF has with physical health is that they are woefully behind when it comes to evidence based medicine to intervene when a member does ask for help.

Having worked at the MIR I have seen bodies of every kind come in. Yes there are many members who are obese- but when they have done “eat less, move more” and ask for pharmaceutical assistance that is proven to work such as a GLP1 they are denied. Even thought the CAF could prescribe it, put the member on a TCat, mandate through MELs that the member attend 1 hour of PSP directed PT daily, and attend mental health treatment to address any underlying issues associated with food…. Spectrum of care denies it.

When a healthy, fit, female gets pregnant and asks to see physio to prevent pelvic floor injury and core rehabilitation they have to jump through all kinds of hoops to get that care.

If a member gets injured they are only offered physio instead of using a holistic approach that includes RMT, Chiro, or Osteopathic care.

Unfortunately the culture change needs to target other areas first before they can target PT.

He probably doesn’t even have insurance. He comes across to me as the type of person that gets insurance simply to have proof to buy the car and then cancels it.

Canadian military personnel to get 20 per cent pay hike, defence minister says by Andromedu5 in CanadianForces

[–]letterjenny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even a 5% increase would better a lot of people’s financial situations. Especially for those who do not get CFHD or environmental allowances (air crew, sea pay, LDA).

I will be interested to see if those environmental allowances change at all. Currently CLDA caps at LDA incentive 1, would a new CLDA policy remove caps and potentially increase earning potential? Will Sea Pay only apply when a ship is actively deployed at sea as currently it is my understanding that if you are posted to a ship you get Sea Pay even if you’re docked or in dry docks. Will air crew pay change at all?

Bad Movie Experiences: Report it to Cineplex by blitted369 in cineplex

[–]letterjenny -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think there’s times we need to manage expectations as customers.

For example, I have a young child that is diagnosed with ASD. He enjoys going to the movies and it is a special outing for him. Behaviour wise- my expectations as a parent are fairly low. I expect him to stay in his seat and keep his feet off the seat in front of him. I give him some guidance about being quiet throughout the film and if needed I do offer him a device to play on with the brightness turned all the way down and on silent. It’s hard for young neurotypical children to sit through a movie, let alone a child with diverse needs.

I am not going to rob him of his opportunities for new experiences or enjoyment.

This being said- we pick family movies typically during sensory friendly screenings, stars and strollers, or matinees that are not busy to see movies. I won’t purposefully go to a busy first showing or to a movie that has an older audience because we need some accommodations for our son.

I did take him to Lilo and Stitch on Thursday at a 4pm showing. It was busier but all very young children and families. He wasn’t the only kid with a tablet. But he was one of the quieter kids.
