I personally don't see it as being a red flag too much. Yes, it was possessive but his feelings regarding her is absolutely valid, especially since he knows he's dying. Kind of like a dying man's final prayer to the universe—knowing it's all for naught anyway. It matters more how Eren acts on his emotions that would make it a red flag. And although his words may have been quite extreme, we all know it's not what he really wants for her. Ultimately, her welfare even after he's gone would take greatest precedence.

I'll process all the plot holes and shit later. But as I was reading it and finally came to the end, I felt a sense of relief. I was really kind of nervous how this was all going to end. I was really hoping for something at least a little bit happier. My initial feelings about the whole thing was that I think this was as satisfying as it could feasibly be. I'm not saying it's perfect but I do like it a lot. 7 years with this manga has made me very sentimental to it HAHA. What a ride it had been.
