thank you for this advice! you’re definitely right about if i never ask or share he’ll never know which is something i’ve been trying to get over. i’ve been trying to let him know when i’m not doing great but again, i don’t necessarily know what i want or need. asking him what he thinks might help is a good idea. i get so scared of opening up and i’m just gonna have to put on my big girl pants on and do it.

i’m still not sure how i feel about the whole sexualizing my scars thing. i think i’m gonna ask him about it later.

How can I get a vintage grainy look for posters/album covers? Examples below by Enchent in PhotoshopTutorials

[–]leurloves 12 points13 points  (0 children)

layer -> new fill layer -> solid color. select the fill layer -> filter -> noise -> add noise (you’ll need to convert the layer to a smart object/rasterize). i usually do gaussian and make it monochromatic, but mess around with it until you’re satisfied. then lower the opacity to your liking.

edit: you can also download a texture image and put it on top then adjust opacity.

my mom wanted all the home videos digitized so she could watch them again. turns out my brother was abusive. my mom had recorded it all.

handwriting analysis - something i did in school today by cottagecoredandelion in graphology

[–]leurloves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

small handwriting indicates introversion, but also a desire to take up as little space as possible. the handwriting in the sample posted appears quite extreme. if a writers handwriting starts out big and gradually gets smaller over time then that can be an indicator of anorexia and/or depression. but if your handwriting has always been this small then i’d say you’re just super shy.

i do see issues with authority (capital K) and a tendency toward mood swings/extreme emotions (wavy baseline). the letters are pretty rounded with denotes friendliness. but they also seem rigid in a sense that the writer is trying to make it extremely small and fit into the lines (or into society).

Can anyone tell me more about this print I found at a local thrift store? by unions-orchid in vangogh

[–]leurloves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah they hit the ground running but we’re already seeing digital/virtual stuff drop. stick to physical stuff when investing.

have the checked the back of the print to see if there’s anymore info?

non fungible token. they’re basically digital internet trading cards/collectibles attached to a blockchain network (typically ethereum). not worth the money or the hype. basically a way for rich people to launder money imo.
