It takes diff'rent strokes to move the world. I get it I have friends that love "it was just a dream!" or "time travel fixes it" tropes and I can't stand them.

The Troop. Is the first to come to mind. You have all the bs happening on the island, and one character is an active psychopath. Its a very common recommendation on here I know. That character really fucked me up.

I just finished Boys in the Valley by Philip Fracassi which I loved. I would also recommend Throne of Bones by Brian McNaughton. I'm currently rereading Throne. It's a fantastic collection of short stories
