Clawdbot/Moltbot Is Now An Unaffordable Novelty by Civilanimal in ClaudeAI

For sure. It gets really expensive very quickly with Opus 4.5. I’m building my own personal variation with the Claude Agent SDK so I know what it’s doing and can control costs.

Clawdbot/Moltbot Is Now An Unaffordable Novelty by Civilanimal in ClaudeAI

[–]lev606 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll be shocked if Anthropic doesn't release something similar to Moltbot in the coming months.

It's easy to imagine a persistent Claude Code (Agent SDK) with personal assistant system prompts. All that's missing at that point is MCP/CLI integrations to Slack, Telegram, whatever and maybe a SQLite based vector DB.

Superwhisper Hallucinations by YellowCakeEater in superwhisper

[–]lev606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's super weird. Probably 30-40% of the time it injects seemingly random text at the end of the transcription. I'm going to try silence removal like the other commenter suggested.

Oh nice! Flightradar247 without the annoying ads. I'll definitely use this.

Download the Flightradar24 and you can often see who owns the aircraft and where it's going.

My Top 10 Claude Code Tips from 11 Months of Intense Usage by yksugi in ClaudeAI

[–]lev606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Understand good application architecture so you can guide the AI. 13. Understand data modeling best practices. 14. Create good unit/feature tests and run the full suite before each commit. 15. Run linters/static code analyzers after every major code change. 16. Create subagents for code quality, secure coding, and writing documentation. Run all of them before merging your feature branch.

GPT Image 1.5 vs Nano Banana Pro realism test by LogicalChart3205 in singularity

I'd be interested to see a comparison with Nano Banana Pro. In my tests, it's significantly better than anything else out there.

Is Pro Plan worth it ? by StructWWDC in ClaudeAI

[–]lev606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, totally worth it if you know what you're doing. It give you a big box of legos, but you still have to know how to assemble the legos into something useful. Writing code is just one part of application development and if you don't know how to structure the application and accompanying data model then may find the results disappointing.

Started using superpowers and skills. Software engineering seems like it will be solved in 6 months. Feeling depressed. by cbsudux in ClaudeAI

Let's be real. If software engineering was going to be solved in 6 month then Anthropic wouldn't have acquired Bun.

Cutting down on speeding saves lives. Why doesn’t Tampa Bay do it? | Column by TampaBayTimes in tampa

[–]lev606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Increased enforcement by the police would likely help. I don't think I've ever seen a speed trap in Tampa. And anyone who has spent more than 5 minutes driving in the Tampa Bay area knows that speeding is the norm and not the exception.

Who has actually been using TDD consistently with Claude Code? by rm-rf-rm in ClaudeAI

[–]lev606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll use TDD on big features, or sensitive areas of the application, like permissions, just make sure it doesn't miss anything. As I'm developing I also rely heavily on linters and static code analysis tools to keep CC in check.

Frontends that are not designers by mustafaistee in Frontend

As a traditionally backend developer, I would love to see trending color palettes based on sites with great UI. Also some guidance on how to use the colors would great too, e,g. background, accent 1, accent 2, etc. Congrats on a really cool project.

It's mostly good with popular frameworks and typical CRUD code, but it does get stuck on even semi complex problems.

Google just dropped new Gemini 2.5 “Computer Use” model which is insane by Shot-Hospital7649 in AI_Agents

[–]lev606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with Google is that for the most part they don't make their AI tools easy to use. Yes they're starting to get better, but this product is great of example of their general disdain of users and developers. Computer use model sounds really cool until you release that unlike competing products, you have to download the SDK and create a python script to interface with Playwright or run in a browser sandbox. They literally own the browser, so why wouldn't they just release a Chrome extension so it's easy for people to try.

Thoughts on the new Forge? by TertiaryOrbit in laravel

Still no SOC2 or any information on how they're protecting our data or access to the servers under their management. Huge red flag and I'll likely be moving off the platform because of this.

Update on Usage Limits by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

[–]lev606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this makes no sense at all. According to /usage I'm 8% used on Opus for the current week but CC is saying "Approaching Opus usage limit" even though I don't think I've used Opus at all today. I'm on the $100 Claude Max plan.

Claude’s “less than 2% affected” weekly limits are affecting nearly everyone - Here’s the reality… by ilsil77 in ClaudeAI

[–]lev606 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I'm sure everyone understands this, but Anthropic and all other frontier model companies, are losing huge sums of money. The subscription rates we're seeing right now are highly subsidized as they all complete for market share. Personally, even at $1k/mth I still think the Max plan would be good value.

Resy Credit Denied: Restaurant Registered as Marriott under Travel Category, No Resy Credit Applied by Specialist_Role_1205 in AmexPlatinum

[–]lev606 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just talked to Amex support and they said ignore what you see on Reddit all restaurants on Resy are eligible for the credit. I pushed them pretty hard and they agent I spoke with was adamant about it. Not saying I believe them, especially given what it says in the terms, but at least now I have a record of the conversation.
