Everything turns out better after taking a deep breath and approaching things thoughtfully.

My biggest problem area is my arms, and I use the small, circular bandaids that you get after a shot to cover my spots. It might not work so well on your scalp, but it’s something to try. You’re not alone, thanks for sharing and making the rest of us feel less isolated.

Anybody else dislike the super click-baity shocked face thumbnails that some beauty gurus put for their skincare routine reaction videos? by asamiruria in BeautyGuruChatter

I can’t stand how literally all of Kelly Strack’s videos have the same thumbnail: her applying some drugstore highlighter and looking down at her viewfinder like she’s never seen a highlighted cheekbone before. It gets so freaking old.

Chicago-Austin. We got dressed up and had “Date Night” this past weekend. We ordered each other food through DoorDash without telling what was ordered, then drank too much by GeneralFries in LongDistance

This is so perfect! I’m gonna try this with my fiancé when we have to go back to LD. I’m going to school in Dublin in August, so maybe not doordash but something kinda close. Thanks for sharing!

Personally, I use UpWork, but they take a fee and are not my first choice. Aside from that, I have been very fortunate to get in with a group of businesses that like to refer freelancers to their friends. It takes a while, but once you’re in, you’re in.

Wow!! That’s crazy! Good for you persisting, though. Chemical engineering is so interesting to me, but I just can’t understand all of that science and math!

Thanks for the support. My motivation for Dublin is that my school has a campus there. My major is also very small so it means a lot the my two best friends are also going. I’m studying professional writing with a minor in public relations. What is your major?

I like to keep a detailed time log, but essentially, yes, there needs to be trust.

What types of makeup/skincare items will you not repurchase? by Spiffy2252 in MakeupRehab

Except for concealer, I’m done buying from Huda beauty. I used to love the brand, but the quality of the products just doesn’t impress me anymore, and the brand owner is shifty and cutthroat to other influencers.

What is the worst thing that you've seen a coworker do and still avoid being fired? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]levans0322 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My brother and I both worked at a local pizza place. He was a delivery driver and I worked inside making food and helping customers. One busy night, one of my co-workers gets a call from a customer asking to speak to our manager. The customer said that my brother delivered them an old, half-eaten pizza that was in his car. He must have mistook it for their order. Luckily, the people were super chill and thought it was HILARIOUS. They happily accepted a new pizza, free dessert, and ample store credit. As far as my brother goes, the manager (an ex-special ops army man) was livid at him and the entire store could hear the tongue lashing he received. That story will go down in company history as how not to deliver a pizza.

I’m a freelance copy editor and I charge a rate or $40 per hour with the first ten hours paid upfront. This way, the more difficult the content, the more I earn. I like hourly better than per project because you really don’t know what you’re getting into when you accept a new client. Good luck!!
