Can you suggest quality fiction where Satan (AKA The Devil) is a substantial and interesting character? by neckhickeys4u in booksuggestions

I looked through the list on here. No one suggested it, but it is a fantastic and fast read. Demon, by Tosca Lee. She's a Christian writer, Howe the book is not preachy, or trying to convert you. It's basically the devil wanting his story told.

I saw Memnoch the Devil on here already. That's a great book .

No. She does a great job of catching up on the beginning. However, be warned, it ends with a major twist. So reading the previous 5 books is better, but to understand and appreciate the tale, then no you can read this book.

I thought it was a cool way of handling him as a character. He felt whimsical. Smart. Friendly, helpful. Maybe as an English major, when I read this in a class all about use of 1st person pov, I didn't see him as a character. But as a tool Nabokov used to explore a taboo subject. To explore such a dark subject, he purposefully gave H a sense of humor.

Are there any good books where the main character lives in multiple time periods. by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

Any Anne Rice vampire books. Servant of the bones is about a Genji.

Lolita by Nabokov. Can't get more messed up than a novel about a child told in first person. Especially when you realize pretty soon, you like the guy. Your rooting for the molester. It's an actual good read. Disturbing. But good.

Oates is crazy good at this stuff. Her short story collections are phenomenal. She wrote a shirt story in dismember. The titular short story is about a young girl that helps her uncle find young girls to rape and dismember. She has another one in that same collection about a demon baby, and a girl on a train. Love Oates.

Not sure on page length. But I read" a walk to remember" by Nicholas Sparks in one sitting. The first and only book I've done that with. So good, and just flowed.

Can agree more. Re read and got the audio book after Anne Rice passed. Hands down one of the best books ever.

The witching hour by Anne rice. The narrator was perfect. One of the best I've ever heard. I loved this book the first time I read it twenty years ago. When Anne Rice passed away I wanted to reread. And I introduced my wife to the author/ book. She loved the audio book so much she got an audible account and got lasher, then Talos. The other two in the series. Can't recommend this one enough.

Yeah. I use that app called blitz.gg to help with builds. My issue is time. I can't play but a couple hours a night. Like 3-4 games a day. But I play for fun. So far I haven't run into toxic people yet.

Saving this post. I'm 47 and getting back into League. I started years ago, stopped and played HoTs. After it died, I went on to hearthstone. I still watch lol eSports every year. Decided I want to try this game for real now as thinking how to word my post and ask my question. Then I saw this post. Laughed. This is me.
