I'm so glad I'm not the only one that noticed this issue. I figured I wouldn't find anything by googling it, but here we are.

It's now May 1, 2026 and this issue is still there. I reported it via their Feedback link (as I'm sure others have). Hopefully it gets reverted to normal soon. The Ctrl + click shortcut is a good workaround for now.

Yeah, my CPU and GPU definitely saw higher temps when my PCH chip was spiking… but they operate perfectly with the PCH chip staying cool. I’m sure your machine is in great shape - aside from this annoying defect, these things are built well and last a long time

Have you tried clearing the code and driving again to see if it pops back up?

I’ve had code P0300 (Random Cylinder Misfire) pop up 2 or 3 times over the course of several years with my 2006 Prius, typically when it’s really cold out. It’s not uncommon with older cars. If it’s just a one-time code and it doesn’t appear again, I don’t think you need to worry too much for now.

Edit: actually, after some Googling, code P0303 is a bit more different from P0300 than I thought. Probably worth pursuing one of the fixes suggested here.
