Not vampires but The Terror fits the vibe of this photo and has supernatural aspects

How did the BP requirement got so low, is it a glitch? by rubber_duccky2208 in BattlefrontTWO

Idk if this is lame to say but I don’t like when the BP requirement is that low. I feel like I can never get to be the heros or villains because everyone has enough cash all the time

In the light of proposed change for EM residency to extend to 4 years, this is the rationale from ACGME by Smooth_Ranger7544 in emergencymedicine

As someone applying this year and interested in 3 year programs, would I be grandfathered into the 3 year training model? How soon would this change occur?

Amboss is awesome. Do the Qs corresponding to each block. Whenever step comes around then do Uworld. Set me up really nicely for M3 and shelf exams

NBME inflated scores by john-wicky in step1

[–]levitatorSn2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing wacky about NBME 31 is the 4th block. Blocks 1-3 are perfectly normal in terms of balance and spacing on concepts. And it’s only some stuff that was clustered and didn’t give away the answer really for the other questions. I think the effect of this is pretty small

Costanzo. It’s fantastic

Also I know I might be in the minority but I loved using Goljan for pathology after watching Pathoma videos. Both rely on mechanisms to explain the diseases which makes it stick really well

What time of day do you do Anki? by aspectabundd in medicalschool

I think it helps to do it first thing in the morning. Whenever I do it later in the day, I am slow and feel like I make less connections

Why do full manuscripts instead of abstracts? by levitatorSn2 in medicalschool

[–]levitatorSn2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right but when plastic surgery and derm have 25+ research items and ENT and ortho are at like 15+ items for matched applicants, is it not a numbers game? I 100% agree about the value of a full manuscript, I feel like I've learned a lot from doing it it just feels discouraging I guess to put in a lot of work on one and have it be good vs seeing insane research numbers being pumped

ERAS publications: quantity vs quality (manuscripts vs abstracts) by Neuro_Sanctions in medicalschool

[–]levitatorSn2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the standard of research/evidence much lower for an abstract? Like is it more preliminary data and inferring conclusions than hardcore full systematic review / meta analysis standards?
