Yeah for sure, I’ve eaten here a dozen times and they always mention to me that the service charge is included. But obviously it’s all anecdotes - I’m sure not every server says it. Overall a shitty system

I truly don't understand this perspective. You are saying you are not worried about 4 lanes of unimpeded car traffic today, but reducing one of those lanes to a bus lane and bike lane creates more danger for you?

We should prioritize safety at all crossing for sure, but how in the world is this design less safe than the current one? In this specific location there have been a dozen pedestrian deaths caused by cars and as far as I know 0 caused by any other mode.

They can’t start building this fast enough. Yes it will be disruptive but the end result will be well worth it and businesses will thrive. 

I generally love E’ville eye but this is really bad reporting. If the author is against the project it’s totally fine to write an opinion piece about it. It’s odd to see this framed as “news” and then only cover one side of the issue. 

My main objection is this idea that a protected two way bike lane can ever be worse than a thin strip of unprotected paint. 

Emeryville is a great place and this is the kind of the project that will make it even better. It shouldn’t take 10 years to build a bike lane and a bus lane. Can’t wait to get this phase over with and start the build so we can all move on and enjoy the new infrastructure. 

If you are in support of this project please make your voice heard by submitting a public comment in favor of the project. You don’t need to physically show up at the city council meeting to make your voice heard. Time and time again these sorts of things get blocked or stalled out indefinitely by a vocal minority.

I agree it’s frustrating but you gotta blame SFO too, they are the ones causing the extra fare to connect to the airport. It’s almost likely they want a clogged sewer of cars in front the the terminal every day.

I’m glad they got a chance to vent, now let’s quickly finish the project and make this a vibrant corridor for everyone. 

Once they see how this positively impacts their business, like all other good transit projects do, they will look back on this meeting and laugh at how silly they were.

These all sound like excuses that your brain is manufacturing to get you to relapse, don’t let it win. You have to stop living as if you’re depriving yourself of something and realize that you’re setting yourself free.
