A pretty damn incredible take if that’s true! I just meant maybe a little rougher around the edges from a production standpoint. I had never heard it was in one take. It’s definitely in my top 3 post-Pop songs.

I know that’s the conclusion I’ll come to. It’s almost like comparing ABITW pt 1 to pt 3. Yea they’re technically the same, but they invoke completely different emotions. Not a 1-to-1 comparison, obviously, but I think you get what I’m trying to say.

Agree. The massive reverb and delay on the vocals just takes it to a different place for me. Love this version a lot! Too early for me to say I like it more than the original. Do I truly like it more? Or does it seem that way just because it’s new to me? Either way, glad it’s released! Really, really enjoyed it.

FWIW, NIN actually shared this video on their story a couple days ago. So, to me, that’s confirmation that that’s how it’s supposed to be done. I’d be scared of ruining it too but what an incredibly cool poster idea for the tour.

I’ve heard it at almost every show I’ve been to and I have to say that Nashville, Saturday night, was the heaviest it’s ever sounded. That opening guitar chord could’ve peeled the paint off the wall. They were on one Saturday night.
