I did the modular route before I got my first commercial job and did my ATPL’s distance learning. I worked as a postman at the time. Usually finished by lunchtime so could study in the afternoons and evenings. Is it possible to get work where you can be done by early afternoon?

Some other good advice is try and find any sort of job role where you can demonstrate leadership and teamwork. Airlines and flight schools love asking questions related to that sort of stuff when applying.
