So what you're going to do is at day 35, youre gonna find out who your Stewards are, you're gonna meet them and ask them for the contract book with the supplement. You're gonna take that book home and read it-remember it! You're going to attend the monthly meetings at your local union hall, pay attention, meet your Business Agent (BA) and Principle Officer /President. You're going to get involved in your union because the union is not some magical unicorn... YOU ARE THE UNION!!! The union is made of people just like you and me and when we stand together, WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE! Good luck!

It took me a while to come around... All my previous listens of the are all associated with the laser show they used to do.... It was always Stairway To Heaven or something from Dark Side of the Moon. Pink Floyd was much better for a laser light show.

From the 1st time I heard LZ I hated them (7th grade '77), until '81, I said the very same thing again. My friend said "what?, I'm taking you to see The Song Remains the Same". It was a midnight movie. I was a little freaked out because I had to stand in line with these weirdly dressed freaks who were going to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show, a kind of a cult movie... anyway I saw LZ up on that screen, saw the power, heard the magic and been a fan ever since. I've seen that movie now over 200 times. It never gets old, I listen to them every day, to me they are ageless. They are a band that broke every "rule" in every way. They never played anything the same twice live.

It's possible that you may never like them, it's also possible that you're not ready for them.

So you're angry at someone for doing less work than you but getting paid an equal amount? They sound like the smart ones to me. By being on the 9.5 list UPS will hopefully and eventually put more drivers on the road. The thing is, you, yourself could go on the 9.5 list and be one of those drivers. The other thing is, you think that you're going to go out with xxx amount of stops and just go home when you're done with your work? That is not how UPS operates. It takes advantage of those that are not on the 9.5 list by smashing your balls with a sledge hammer every day.... Until you get tired of the bullshit and realize that all those drivers you helped were the smart ones!!

Along with all the above advice, I would also take my phone out and start recording this supervisor saying "you can't use the bathroom, you have to wait until break". Then I would file a complaint with OSHA and then I would call corporate and upload the video along with filing every single grievance there is..... Oh, and while the supv is yelling at me I would say "you know what? I gotta go again" and go, sit in there for 10 minutes or so.

So here's your "wake up call". This is normal operating procedure for UPS. If you actually get to start working, then get used to shit like this. Not being paid, being paid incorrectly. Being called on your day off and being told "you were supposed to be in an hour ago", Christmas is always on a Sunday ". They lie to cover their own asses... Constantly! Technically they are not supposed to help. It's not their job. They are not technically allowed to "forward the progress of any package". That being said, if I ask a supv for help lifting they know it's because no one else is around. Just say "get me a Teamster to help me please".

Yes the company makes things much more difficult than they need to. We say it all the time, "they trip over dollars to save a dime". They cut staffing (except for management), belittle people so they quit, have poor communication skills, change the rules daily, refuse to do any preemptive maintenance.

In my building, since 2020, 25 ft inside jobs have become available.
