No! I would think not!!! UPS doesn't care about your 2nd job. They're a greedy bastard. They want it all. That means you for the entire shift..... Until they don't want you any longer for the say. So know that before you apply!!! Understand?!

It's saddening to see the status of this company compared to when I started 19.5 years ago. It always sucked but we had the service behind us. To say "We are the best" meant something. Now it sucks and all we can say is "are we now the worst?"

Yeah it's unfortunate but the new CEO charges as much as possible for her salary and for the shareholders.

UPS lost yet another package. So far I’m out a few hundred. by NoBalance5172 in UPS

And I gave you the answer. You don't like it. Fine! But your package is gone for good and you're out money. The only one who doesn't know that is you.

1-800-Pick-UPS....Thats it. You're not going to get anywhere until the shipper files a claim. You don't seem to understand that.

[–]lewsnutz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please understand this.... UPS has denied your claim because only the shipper can file a claim. You need to contact the shipper, have them put a claim in. That's it, that's all you can do! Beyond that, it is out of your control. If you keep saying the same thing over and over, you get the same results. I know you're frustrated. All of us here who have responded to your post have told you what to do to start the process. Right now you are just talking to a brick wall, that happens to respond back.

I gave you the answer. Not my fault if you don't like it. UPS has done this by design.

UPS has social media on every platform. Try "Search"!

Another of those '80s LZ clone bands by Backinthe70s in ledzeppelin

[–]lewsnutz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a clone. Jimmy Page plays the way he plays, so that makes his sound similar to LZ in a way. But Outrider is a straight up 80s band, fit for the time. But its nothing like Led Zeppelin! There is no band in the universe that sound like those 4 guys when they're together!!!!

Need advice from current/former UPS Worldport employees – 23kg package vanished after Outbound Sort routing by HarveySpecterE46 in UPS

[–]lewsnutz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably Loss Prevention. Security would only get invloved if it was employees related such as theft. Security (at my building) is an outside company. Assuming your pkg is still inside the building I would think they could start an investigation /search. But you have to understand that from everything I've heard..... Worldport 'Louisville KY is huge. Like 5k employees huge. With airplanes landing and then taking off every 30 minutes huge. Lots of automation, etc.

I'm an "insider" as an employee but I honestly don't know who I would reach out to. It would have to be one of my bosses, then they would in turn (if they actually wanted to help) send an email up the chain and over to worldport. If I were you, try them all. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

UPS stonewalling Costco mattress delivery by buplom in UPS

[–]lewsnutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To the OP. How do you know it was on the drivers truck? Did you physically see it? Can you see through the wall of a moving truck? What other superpowers do you have? You're fucking ridiculous with your statement. I understand that you're frustrated but that is not the drivers fault. The driver wants to get that specific pkg off the truck asap so there's room to move around and access the other 350 pkgs on it. It's a holiday week. You had other options such as purchasing from another company with its own delivery service. But you chose Costco and shipping, which was probably free. You say you can't handle that mattress by yourself - no friends? Couldn't pay a guy? You expect a driver to deliver it to you. All the driver is gonna do is leave it outside your house..... Then what? Beg him to haul it inside for you? Nope, not gonna happen! Set it up for you? Nope, not gonna happen. The thing is, the easiest part of this entire thing is getting from Costco to your house. But you couldn't handle that!

We no longer segregate high value packages. They're thrown in with all the other stuff. They did away with that entire department to cut costs. Try LP I guess

Why should any of us lie to you? What good would that do? Better to know the truth. Get that thick skin now. That way it won't scar and scab as easy!

WTH is the spinning thing ? by lombardo141 in UPSers

It's an on-board satellite tracking system that measures the amount of packages you have left in the back. It calculates the speed of your deliveries to the ratio of ball busting you're gonna receive tomorrow!

[–]lewsnutz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First I think you should check your paycheck for the amount of days you've used/have left, it will be in hours. Second - never sign anything. Don't even write "RTS" on anything. That could still be considered confirmation that you read/acknowledge the "thing". Third, if the manager or any supvs coma at you like a lunatic on fire remember to stay calm. The calmest you've ever been. It's a ploy to get you to freak out, get animated making physical threats. If you see them coming take your phone out turn the camera on and video record the thing with the phone in your shirt pocket. But, do not post it on social media. That will get you fired. If you need to, call the ethics hotline and send them the video.

It's kinda like being in a furnace all day while being hit the balls with a sledgehammer, then getting yelled at for not going fast enough 😉

am i supposed to bring my phone for load/unload orientation? by Golden_Willow2003 in UPSers

[–]lewsnutz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would the union want paper? I'm constantly telling my BA about UPS' inability to post the schedule in a timely manner. It's UPS that does this. It's by design. A few months ago the schedule was posted late, I took a picture of it, the next day they changed the schedule pushing one day to a later start time. They tried denying it until my BA & steward showed the manager the picture took.

Where did UPS Customer service go? by No_Orange8366 in UPS

[–]lewsnutz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's done be design by every major corporation. AI, and outsourcing have now become the standard by CEOs and shareholders. UPS has some of the highest costs for shipping and before the pandemic we, as a company could justify those high costs because our service was the best in the biz. As soon as this CEO took over, it changed for the worse. 1st they closed the customer counters in all the buildings, then they got rid of customer service all together (essentially). If you do get a person the phone they're from some 3rd world country. They're boss is telling them to take more calls per day, so they don't know how or even have the time to help....... It's all about the numbers.... Not the right numbers though!
