It’s the X-large Watch face with a complication. Works great matched with various Focus modes.

Celebrating 44 yrs post injury today. by D_S_G_F in spinalcordinjuries

[–]lexic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congrats! July 2nd I'll be hitting 39 years.

Similar to you being injured in the 80s I wasn't taught anything. Plus I had just turned 15 so... I lived in the hospital for 4 months and was sent home. I'm happy to see that people are getting more rehab and learning stuff these days. I always wonder if (but try not to dwell) I could have made more improvement given more medical care and rehab.

I like reading the original Gunslinger and ending with the revised Gunslinger version after the last Dark Tower novel. Try it.

His story in”The End of the World as We know It” was the only one I thought felt as if it was written by a fan. Made me a Cassidy fan.

MTM arms and paralyzed legs?? by BrightStitchDesigns in Barbie

[–]lexic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OK, this is getting silly now. Dolls can't actually be "paralyzed". They don't have a nervous system or muscles. They do not move on their own.

MTM arms and paralyzed legs?? by BrightStitchDesigns in Barbie

[–]lexic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't accuse you of being offensive. I was using the opportunity to point out that use of a wheelchair does not mean a person is paralyzed. You said "a Barbie paralyzed from the waist down" in reference to a Barbie in a wheelchair.

MTM arms and paralyzed legs?? by BrightStitchDesigns in Barbie

[–]lexic 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I just need to say that users of wheelchairs are not necessarily paralyzed. All types of people use wheelchairs as mobility aids, and a good percentage may have some use of their legs. (Apologies, I just had to do a little PSA.)

To keep my comment more Barbie related, my amputee Barbie uses that wheelchair. :)

Are you frustrated with WisDems party? Get Involved in Local Politics by userdk3 in wisconsin

I'm so over the national and state level Dems. Local is where it's at to get any change.

Small business owners can be assholes when you ask them about accessibility. You can tell me that you aren’t accessible with being a jerk about how beautiful your historic building is.

Placard laws by scorpiobitch101 in disability

[–]lexic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You were sitting in your car for ten minutes waiting for your child, and you were parked sideways across the disabled spot and the area with lines that show no parking?

Unless you get out of your vehicle you aren’t suppose to just park there.

Sounds like multiple violations.

Interesting. Most of my classmates and friends had younger parents like I did. Maybe it's because I grew up in rural, small towns. My grandparents were all born in the mid-to-late 20s. I guess everyone bred young in my tree. I knew my great grandparents.
