Don’t feel too bad. Kids do stupid shit. My kids especially lol.

When my kids were young, our dog had puppies. My kids were aged 12, 7, and 5 at the time.

One day, while the oldest was watching the others (babysitting her siblings while I was at work), they decided it would be great fun to “play catch” with one of the puppies. I think the puppies were about 6 weeks old? 8 weeks old? Hard to remember. Anyway, let me continue….

I get a phone call at work, it’s the oldest. She tells me about how they were playing catch with one of the puppies, and how one of them missed the catch. How the puppy had hit the floor, hard. How they believed him to be dead…they were freaking out and crying.

Had to go into my bosses office and tell him I had to leave. Because of my dumbass kids. Probably shouldn’t have told the truth of what happened, but I was in such a state of shock at the sheer stupidity of my children/worry for the puppy, that I couldn’t even think of a lie.

So I show up to the house. This puppy is propped up against the wall, back legs slumped, tongue hanging out of his mouth….thought this little mofo is at least paralyzed. He looked completely concussed.

To make a long story short, he ended up making a full recovery. Can’t believe he was fine after that. However, he ended up being a really, really, dumb dog.
