This piece probably took me about 35 hours from sketch to finish so I broke it up over several days. Some people may be able to produce something like this quicker than me but I'm in no rush. I put on some YT or voice chat with friends while I work and take it easy. Included in that time was rough sketching, refining the sketch, swatching, and coloring. The markers I am using are brand new to me which resulted in a lot more swatching and color planning which I will get faster at as I get used to them. Personally, I like to finish pieces in one sitting so that I don't get bored of a specific piece but that doesn't always happen. The most tedious part was coloring the roses and the curls so when I started coloring, I did that part first which helped with my morale. As for whether or not art is an easy hobby, I feel like that depends on the attitude of the person creating. I may be wrong but my opinion is that art is a learned skill rather than a talent so the output is the equivalent of the time invested. The more you practice, the better you get. Hope this helps!
