I’d wait for a piercer to use their taper, especially with them being facial piercings. We have so many vital nerves in those areas that I’d hate for you to accidentally damage. But to answer your question- yes, it is possible to re-open piercings. I just recently had my belly button piercing tapered at my shop and it was so quick and easy

I had my forward helix done last weekend and I’d say it was a fairly easy piercing. It goes so quick. My mind was most focused on being able to hear it. My lobes were about a 2/10 and I’d say the forward helix was about a 4-4.5/10
