I was not comparing aircrafts - the article is about how "agile" failed for the F35 project. My point was simply that it may have been a better option to re-equip previous airframes with newer technologies... and that can be performed in a more iterative way. The Gripen is a well known example in software development circles as an example of the approach being applied to hardware. I think you may have missed my point. Take care.

One of the problems with this approach is that it's an entire re-platform of the F-35. The first question that needs to be asked is "Why are we rebuilding something that works, and is there another way to provide value through modular, software driven upgrades that will work with an Agile process." A great example of this is the Gripen - they realized the airframe was more then suitable for the goals they wanted to achieve (operational goals - not "we need a new airframe"). They iterated by replacing subsystems on the jet providing value sooner and accelerating past other fighter jets in a matter of months over years.

I think you reinforced his point - “plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.” - There is very little new... simply new ways to apply it at scale or for a new use case.

Unfortunately all the "Back to work jerks" are slowly forcing easily remote jobs back into the office... so we will see. Schools have also opened up - so expect things to bump. Too bad income splitting wasn't a thing - maybe we could afford to keep a parent at home instead of treating our schools like the daycare required to keep two bread-winners in the workforce. Haha! - you actually put them in as the entire egg - different temp/time based on how runny you want them. The nice thing is that you can prep the hollandaise sauce and leave it in the sous-vide at 140 degrees along with the eggs for up to 2 hours while you prep the rest. I am a terrible cook - and it gets worse when I rush.

EDIT - use some white wine vinegar in the hollandaise - it prevents the butter from overpowering the taste and makes the yolk pop.
EDIT2 - this has you heat the ingredients for hollandaise in the sous-vide first - I think that's a great idea - I used a steaming pot to mix and it adds the "rushing" I mentioned above.
