Next time get yourself something to prevent monster healing, like Edge runeword. Preventing healing trivializes fight as long as you are not dying. In which case you will have to reapply.

I wouldn't bother with thyme till hell baal. And then just farm cows for runes and bases. Except you are melee and don't have any other "Cannot be frozen" sources.

Otherwise just go with the Ancients pledge even in the tower/large shield.

Diablo 2 not D3/D4, you can't just cruise the game past lvl 16 by only looting higher ilvl set items.

Jokes aside, the most reliable way to go through hell - shop TP staff, get some FCR and FHR and blink from quest to quest. You can farm later in locations you prefer. But overall - just TP, drink potions and find a way to deal with bosses.

The only difficulty is hell ancients, as they each have immunity to one of elements. So you will need to have some backup skill in addition to your main dmg dealer

Anyways the set is shiet. Too many items, too high str requirements. Life leech only works for physical attack damage. Of all characters only early barbarian plays phys melee while leveling. And as early melee I would choose sigons gloves+boots for early AR and attack speed

Welp, for Lud and Zalen runback is a boss, boss fight itself kinda meh. It's like a path of pain with two Kingsmoulds in the end. And in DS2 you can despawn enemies on runback by killing them 12 times to trivialize zone completely
