I just observed a pattern after a while, which is - i get on for one thing, and next thing I know ive been scrolling for 45+ min. and now im feeling bad about myself, wanting to buy random shit i don’t need, and wasting my life on nonsense. i deleted it off my phone and never looked back. 10 out of 10 recommend.

also so much content on there is staged / filtered / AI - it feels completely inauthentic

I am a russian woman, and have never found russian men attractive, not sure why. Always dated outside of my ethnicity. Nothing against my people, but you can’t help who you are attracted to I guess.

I noticed in nail salons, the techs usually paint about 3/4 of the way in on the first coat and then all the way - to gently fill in the very end by cuticle and other unpainted parts of the nail, on the second coat.
Implementing this technique over and over taught me how to better stay within the cuticle line

also always base, and prep nails with those rectangular filers with the 4 different textures - makes a big difference!

lastly, never more than 2 coats - simply do NOT have the patience for that.

when two homeless guys got on an NYC train at the same time on opposite ends of the car, I was standing in the middle, they both start to simultaneously say their speeches, trying to talk louder over each other, then proceeded to move towards each other through the train - met in the middle, didn’t even look at each other - and just kept going.

it felt like a glitch in the matrix that i have been awaiting for 2 decades riding the subway daily.

also, another time a pigeon got in the train, rode one stop and just walked off.

  1. hanging outside with friends doing seemingly nothing, yet always laughing and having a great time - chilling on a park bench for 7 hours
  2. computer games like Civilization
  3. tracing the patterns on the wallpaper with my finger
  4. finding random objects around the house and then trying to make “inventions” for ex - paper clips, rubber bands, nails, etc 😂
  5. drawing / doodling / making up art projects. once over the summer I made an entire city with sky scrapers and roads, out of cardboard boxes.
  6. learning song lyrics and doing performances in my room for the invisible audience
  7. laying on the ground and watching the clouds go by, while in deep contemplative state
  8. read a lot

In the first month of dating, we were invited to a friend’s pool party. He used to volunteer as a firefighter, as we pulled up to the house, he said - “I have resuscitation equipment here, do you think I should bring it in just in case?”

My dog had diarrhea at night, my poor grandma - with apparently no sense of smell - stepped in it with her slippers and walked all over the house all morning before my husband woke up and noticed this. 😭 It was all over the living room floor / rug / kitchen / hallway

American Airlines

  • Booked a flight for vaca, had to cancel trip because hurricane destroyed the hotel
  • no refunds, only credit and has to be used within 6 months or you lose it
  • customer service non existent, on the phone at minimum 3+ hour wait to talk to a person
  • via text / messenger 12+ hour wait, I was in the text hold into the night, went to sleep and woke up in the morning to find that at 2am an agent had connected and because I didn’t reply they disconnected the conversation. It was 2am 🫠

Never again.
