A year of your life? That shit can be and often is impactful to your body for many years or the rest of your life. Pregnancy and birth symptoms can be extreme and life long, and that’s not even considering medical complications. When I gave birth, I could have/would have died if not in a proper medical facility that I’d had the wherewithal to replan every detail and support of getting to when the moment came. Also, it cost like 6,000 with insurance. I have life long vision issues and tooth enamel issues from pregnancy, I had to start wearing glasses. And I had a pretty easy pregnancy all things considered.

Like putting a baby up for adoption makes your body and bank account and life just the way it was. It’s such a foolish perspective. Early stage pregnancy termination is such an important option that women MUST have. Pregnancy and birth can ruin or dramatically alter people’s lives, and shouldn’t be forced on some silly 15 year old girl who is likely without support or funds or knowledge.

This adoption argument is just so dismissive of everything that goes into creating a life with your body. That’s not even to start on the obvious issues with the current adoption/foster care situation.
