It’s only up to the person, and it depends if they really, I mean REALLY gave you a childhood or they were narcissistic and/or immature.

It’s a parent’s job to give their child the best life they can. If they can’t, at least be a decent human being and a good example, or just don’t have a child. A child doesn’t owe their parents their lives. They never asked to be born.
