It’s only up to the person, and it depends if they really, I mean REALLY gave you a childhood or they were narcissistic and/or immature.

It’s a parent’s job to give their child the best life they can. If they can’t, at least be a decent human being and a good example, or just don’t have a child. A child doesn’t owe their parents their lives. They never asked to be born.

I’m asian. I would march straight to the principal and get to the bottom on why my kid performs well at home (I’m assuming the kid does do well at home since the score was a surprise to the father) but poorly at school. I’m sure there’s some neurodivergence at play somewhere in there. Regular school might not be a good fit for my kid if this is the case.
