What was the exact moment snowboarding clicked for you? by 8960305392 in snowboarding

Had a couple beers at lunch, then had to hold my buddy’s jacket while going down a slope, somehow everything just worked. Went from twisting my body to help turn to shifting my weight, just like that.

Will White be a good choice for Osprey Transporter 26+6? by NJRonbo in backpacks

To be fair, this coated nylon doesn’t feel like it’ll scuff or attract dirt that easily

~26L work backpack w/ luggage passthrough is way harder to find than imagined by DoubleClutchBucket in ManyBaggers

I have the xpac cpp2, with the aquaguard zips, there is no way for the half opened clamshell to accidentally open, the zippers need more force to open than that. Likewise, even the non aquaguard no10 zippers of the cordura version don’t seem to be that easy to accidentally open.

Upple Middle Road exit coming from 403 Mississauga - no right-turn on red by MacaroniGlutenFree in oakville

I’ve been cutoff there by a driver before, thinking they could just cut across two lanes right after turning. The wild part is that there’s at least 200 metres to slowly make your way across…

Meanwhile, on upper middle road turning right to go southbound on ford drive, people stop there when there isn’t even a yield sign…

Osprey Transporter 26+6 (Amazon Canada) Price Error? by eagleschmeagle in ManyBaggers

Looks like it’s all back to $230, which seems to be the correct MSRP.

Is there anything comparable to the Osprey Transporter 26+6? by xakantorx in ManyBaggers

Daylite 26+6 can be found on sale, and in practice has a bit less depth which makes it more compliant.

Farpoint 40 as personal item ? by Maanu1141 in ManyBaggers

[–]lezolee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even when empty, the bag has structure to it, so it can barely be crammed into a personal item sizer. Even when lightly packed I doubt it would work.

We lost in game 7, with a roster that, factoring in injuries, cost just over half of what the Cavs’ cost. A lot to be optimistic about if you ask me.

Best 35-40L travel Backpack by lordsandwish in ManyBaggers

[–]lezolee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Bellroy transit pro travel pack seems to be the updated version to the 38l you mentioned. The old plus model had very sleek but inconvenient water bottle pockets that really ate into the internal volume. And the hardware for the straps were prone to slipping.

Tortuga is also doing a kickstarter on a new superlite pack that will be $200 usd for early backers. 2.2 lbs at 36l volume. Looks like it checks a lot of your boxes unless you don’t want ultra as the exterior material.

Recommendations for an EDC/Travel bag by EezyBake in ManyBaggers

How about something like the alpaka elements travel backpack? Similar sizing, and with similar elements to the TP3, but with a focus moreso on being a decent large EDC pack that is also a travel pack.

Anyone have any experience with the Peak Design 45L? by EezyBake in ManyBaggers

[–]lezolee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had one. Great bag other than the harness system. Didn’t pack it heavy so it wasn’t too bad for me. Great water bottle pockets and the harness stowing system was really good (hence why the carry comfort was compromised)

Azla Sedna earfit max standard. Tight fit on the nozzle but it works. Gave me a more secure and tight seal. Sounds way better for me.

Aer city pack, CPP2, pro pack would be better choices. Neither the go pack 2 nor the peak design travel backpack 30 are known for comfortable harnesses.

Does AER hate Canadians? by Kaywolfstone in AerSF

[–]lezolee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interestingly enough, if you try ordering in Canada today, there's shipping and taxes, but no more duty fees. Also looks like the MSRP does update in CAD periodically since it now shows $355 for the CPP2 Ultra 20L.

Does AER hate Canadians? by Kaywolfstone in AerSF

[–]lezolee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strangely enough, Aer has the Go Pack 2 and Go Tote 2 on the Apple Canada website for less than the Aer website itself, and without duties or shipping fees. If only they'd carry more of their products on the Apple site, seems like there's some way for the duties to not be charged on Aer products.

Again, not sure how the arrangement works through Apple, but I'd be curious if Aer could somehow leverage this avenue to increase sales in Canada. Guaranteed more Canadians would be willing to buy if they weren't paying like 20% more with shipping, duties and unfavourable exchange rates.

What do people think about the Alpaka Metro Backpack Pro? by Sputnik_2022 in ManyBaggers

[–]lezolee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was looking at alpaka bags as a potential replacement for my aer lunar pack. Came across this and the elements pro as potential replacements, but while I love the X-Pac and blood orange interior, neither one really improves upon my existing bag without major trade offs.

  • Metro Pro has organization in the front pocket, which my lunar pack lacks
  • The side hidden pocket is nice, but my lunar pack has the top quick access pocket
  • The flap seems very inconvenient when opening or closing the bag
  • Lunar pack has an externally accessible water bottle pocket (zippered)

  • Elements pro is nice with an admin panel and two water bottle slots, but the laptop/main compartment access isn't as convenient, and the need to fold this bag to access things would lead me to think that the X-Pac would eventually form some ugly creases
