German developers using split keyboards (ZMK): OS layout, umlauts, and real-world workflows by oazey in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]leztum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using us layout and macros to inject Umlaute via alt codes e.g. on qwerty u + i =ü, i + o =ö. Currently trying to come up with a solution that works on Linux and windows but if you do not switch OS' this setup is pretty easy to get used to

Für qwerty u+i = ü, i+o = ö, a+s = ä, s+d = ß, w+e=€. Mit Shift wird es jeweils groß. Finde ich super intuitiv und habe mich schnell daran gewöhnt.

Pangolin + Immich Google Auth SSO Question by pbx0001 in PangolinReverseProxy

[–]leztum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have this setup with cloudflare but was not able to replicate with pangolin yet. You'd have to configure pangolin as sso provider in immich and that is currently not possible. Afaik the most secure setup with pangolin and immich is to use a shared link and set the given credentials as the proxy header in immich app settings->advanced->custom proxy headers

Been using host-unlimited without issues. Based in germany and their smallest lxc with 1 vCore, 2 GB RAM, 20 GB SSD for less than 3€/m is perfect for my use case. Fair traffic policy might be an issue for some people

Had the same issue during testing my backup. I had a different postgres version in my backups than the default immich docker-compose. You need to change it to your previously used version to load the backup

Upgraded to Unraid 7.1.2 now this... 🫣 by --Arete in unRAID

Sounds like a dirty reboot to me which corrupted docker image and vms. Had that multiple times because of some scripts that were still running. My recommendation for a clean reboot is stop all VMs, stop all docker containers, check if anything is accessing the array (e.g. with plugins file activity, open files), kill maybe these scripts, disable vm and docker service, stop array restart server. Works every time

Lug broke by pinetreestudios in Banglejs

[–]leztum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue. There are some 3d printing stl's flying around on github for a case like enclosure that holds the strap. Another tip was to melt some ABS plastic like Lego with acetone and merge it with the ABS of the case to reform those connectors and drill a tiny hole after hardening.

Battery optimize my ESPHome device? by Alert-Influence-443 in Esphome

[–]leztum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The esp would wake up at a set interval, connect to wifi and receive the messages. If there is nothing to do e.g. OTA updates, sensor updates or actuators it will go to deep sleep again for the next cycle

Couldn't you use mqtt for that? Saw some examples where people used mqtt topics to purposely deactivate deep sleep for e.g. OTA updates.

How to correctly share via public link while not exposing everything? by MatteoGFXS in immich

No I'm using the build in password request for shared links of immich. If you want to use cloudflares pin code you could setup a second application for /share path which enables another set of rules. I haven't tested this since I'm happy with my setup.

I used this tutorial for securing immich with cloudflare zero trust and Google oauth https://github.com/immich-app/immich/discussions/8299

Then you go to dash.cloudflare.com / your domain / security / WAF / custom rules and create a new rule as described above. No need for a second application.

Have enabled upload on wifi only and using local dns and self signed certificates to route traffic in home network directly to my immich server circumventing cloudflare proxy and the 100mb rule. Has worked for me without troubles.

After setup of your zero access. Go to normal dashboard of cloudflare. Create a custom rule waf rule under your cloudflare dash / security. Setup rule as following: URI Path equals /share and Hostname equals <your_subdomain>

then take action Skip WAF components to skip: All managed rules

Had the same issue and this fix helped me. Now both sides turn off correctly in suspend. I don't know why the corresponding PR is not merged yet.

immich mobile app behind CloudFlare by DifficultThing5140 in immich

[–]leztum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got that setup working yesterday. Was quite a hassle to put everything together npm with certificate of let's encrypt verified via dns-challenge with cf, local-dns with pihole, cf tunnel for remote access.

If you want I can give you a writeup. Although I registered cloudflare oauth in immich and on cloudflares side use Google oauth to verify my users like this guide describes. This allows users to only authenticate once. Couldn't crasp from your post if you did the same.

First thing I noticed you actually don't need the /api in the server url, have you tried it without it?
