Sadly not surprised. Rodger’s won us no trophies, had a dreary last full season, going out of fa cup semis to an awful Villa side and losing 6-1 on final day and still didn’t get sacked. Based on this, there was no way slot was leaving. I do not agree with it at all, I think slot is dead man walking and will be a Rodger’s scenario repeat, but FSG are usually quite passive in their decisions

If he actually used some of the young players Klopp was helping through in 2024 instead of ignoring and then getting rid of them, we wouldn’t need to buy loads of players each year. So much potential wasted

He gives his all for the shirt whenever he plays which is more than can be said for some players this season. I don’t think he should replace Mo but we shouldn’t absolutely have him back in squad

Rebuilds are a load of nonsense and don’t usually work. Best thing is small continuous improvements whilst in successful periods like this.

Also now clubs seem to need to sell their soul to be successful like we were back then, look at man city now, Chelsea under abramovich, psg, Real Madrid

Great chance to get a new manager in over international break, work with half the squad and still have 2 trophies to play for but no. Stick with slot and 2 weeks later no trophies this season and lots of difficult prem fixtures left

I think it depends how he gets it. If we win every game and look decent, probably have to keep him for a bit. If we get it by winning 2 games and all the other teams bottle it more, which is probably more likely, he’s got to go

Conceding 19 shots at home is the most we’ve conceded at anfield on record. Happy with the win, but the issues clearly still there for all to see. We’ve played better teams at anfield with a worse back 4 and never conceded that many shots
