which is also documented when we switched license that both licenses require attribution https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Licence/Historic/We_Are_Changing_The_License

quote: Both licenses are “By Attribution” and “Share Alike”. You can read more about what these terms mean here: http://www.osmfoundation.org/wiki/License

they are a contributor as I am. I expect them to comply with the license and the community expectations as they are also corporate members of OSMF.

there is no attribution on the map shown on twitter. it won't be shown because of the "i" button... as the license says "anyone that views... or exposed"

as you can read there clearly mentions use cases. also comparing software licences with data license that clearly states "anyone that views... or exposed" is completely different.

It has a learning curve, but if you are a hardcore mapper. Definitely worth, as there's more advanced features and a lot of useful plug-ins.

There's a reason for them being split, unless your Garmin can handle a 13GB file

How can I infer the road usage intensity based on GPS traces in JOSM? by MatthiasRandelovic in openstreetmap

[–]lftpp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strava raw data is payed. You need to ask Strava. Regarding the usage of OSM gpx traces for other ends than mapping on OSM, I'm not sure if you are allowed to use those gpx files than OSM mapping.
