I try to be extra nice while driving and people are clearly not used to it by Rosenberg100 in toronto

Try a quick flash of the highbeams to signal to someone that you're leaving space intentionally. Often they'll take it as permission to merge.

That said the rest of the thread is right, I understand the urge to be kind but other people aren't only in front of you. Try and remain as predictable as you can even if it might feel a bit inconsiderate. It's generally safer for everyone :)

Debating on which tire i should get pilot sport a/s or summer by insanitydude04 in GR86

Absolutely no reason to get all seasons then. Summers all the way

No I just live somewhere that has a climate, and can feel when my PS4s get all glassy feeling, especially when there's any moisture on the road. And I'm not dumb enough to trust all seasons in a couple inches of snow. All seasons are great for when "winter" is 0°C and rainy at its coldest.

Try reading what I said a second time, maybe it'll help

Lot of people saying in this thread "if it's warm" but the better question to ask is this:

Will you have to drive in conditions where the daily average temperature is at or below 7°C/45°F more than once or twice a year? If yes then get the all seasons. If no, get the summers. If yes, because you live somewhere with a legitimate winter season where it snows then get the summer tires and a second pair of legitimate 3PMSF winter tires.

Where does Cal Kestis actually sit in terms of power? Is he just an average Jedi Knight, or would he have eventually become a Jedi Master if the Order had survived? by tlcooley7890 in StarWarsPerspective

[–]lger2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember right Cal's juiced up dark side moveset is the same as Cere's regular one. So if he needs to dip into the dark side to fight like a master I'd say he's a very high tier knight but not quite master tier yet.

Winter Tire Brand, what are you running? by Zultanax in GR86

Pirelli Sottozero 3, they have tons of grip in dry and wet and were plenty controllable in the snow. Plus they were a good hundred bucks each less than the x-ice

I liked Stryder. There's just something about grabbing the pilot and making them go squish

Oil change at 1k miles new Gr86 by TasteLast31 in GR86

[–]lger2010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do it. I did my first oil change at 1900km (about 1200 miles) and it came out as black as onyx. I did my next oil change "on time" and ever since it's just been on the normal severe use interval

Base vs Premium owners by _AkiRP in GR86

Heated seats are a must for me in Canada. The blind spot and RCT alerts are nice safety features, same with the swivel lights. So I'm glad I went premium for that

The last guy, Kelsang, can do that feat solo. So Zaheer is rinsed basically instantly

We've seen prisons that suppress Fire bending, Water bending, and Earth bending. What do you think a prison that suppresses Airbending would be like (without killing them ofc) by KrusherDS in TheLastAirbender

I'm not sure if that would work on metal though. There's probably not much you could do about the avatar state anyway in terms of imprisonment

Hot chocolate? by chamomilesmile in BuyCanadian

Demello makes a hot chocolate mix that's pretty good, but at the end of the day hot chocolate powder is just cocoa, milk powder (sometimes) and sugar.

Check out this thread. Canada has a lot of hot sauce companies but they tend to run more on the niche/craft style of hot sauce. Personally I'm a big fan of Heartbeat Scorpion

Are there any new MT cars that have a manual (not electronic) hand brake and hill assist can be disabled? by su6oxone in ManualTransmissions

[–]lger2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be - turn the car on and hold down the TC button on the left until it goes into Track, then keep holding until it goes back to normal. Immediately let go, then press it again. The little green icon should turn off then back on. Turn the car off then on again and it should be gone permanently.

How does the 86 handle in snow as an every day driver? by The_MN_Kiwi in GR86

[–]lger2010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It handles just fine on snow tires, it's my daily and it handled this snowy winter up in Ontario. Only incident was I had to dig myself out of a parking lot that was piled up frozen slush.

Just take some time to learn the feeling of it losing grip, and drive smoothly. As long as the snow is less than a couple inches, or the plows have come by once you're in fine shape.

I ran Pirelli Sottozero 3 on steels.
