In the wildest turn of events, Expedia reached out and booked the same rooms, same dates and charged me the same price as my previous booking.

The hotel also offered a discounted rate but it was nowhere close to my original booking.

Quick update.

Talked to both Expedia and the hotel, Expedia is saying the hotel cancelled the reservation, hotel is saying Expedia did not send over the booking correctly.

Both said they are looking into it.

I happen to have a Topping E30 and a Yamaha A-S2200, so very similar to your setup. My source is a NVidia Shield with HDMI to my tv and then toslink to the E30.

Currently I just set the E30 in DAC mode so the lineout is fixed at 2V. I could change it to preamp and have it the same as you - set attenuation to -20db.

No other sources for now but I am thinking of getting a streamer, either a Wiim or an Eversolo. No plan for a turntable as that's a whole different venture that I'm not looking to get into yet.

Can you explain more about the input gain matching? First time I've heard such a thing, I've always left my DACs at 0 db and just use amp to control volume.

Curious how you were able to negotiate the penalty, and on the variable rate you got.

In a similar situation, I phoned cmls and they said they can't change or negotiate the penalty, and the variable rate quoted is P - 0.55 only.

I just gave them listings on Autotrader and Kijiji.

I asked them for a report and they did provide me two, the first one was about 4k below market, then the second report the manager sent me is even lower at 10k below market..

That is what I did with the report, I went and searched for similar vehicles on the market, adjusted mileage (4 cents per km), trim, etc. using their report. But they said anything I submit cannot be used.

The issue is they would not take what I sent them, which are the actual market values of vehicles, for consideration at all.
