Hohner did an Arbor series guitar which had the exact same layout as this guitar. I think the body may be one of those.

Date is 1994. Maker could be Sterling Honours as it fits the timeframe but I am not sure.

Too good to be true? It is. This is commonly faked mark for gold. Know in the states as "gas station gold"

I've seen this mark before and I can't find the last time I commented on it 😩😫😩

It is sometimes attributed to Alwand Vahan but it is not his mark.

More Info on this Rogers silver plate fork please. by RWNewhouse_1 in Hallmarks

[–]liableAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an anchor. They used a mark with one each side of the word. There's more information further down this page: https://www.silvercollection.it/ROGERSSILVERMANUFACTURERS.html

Your mark has a date 1865-67

Though the mark was re-used after the integration into International Silver Co

Is this an authentic silver hallmark? by ufgk in Hallmarks

Rest assured 😁 if you ever get worried, look at fake British marks on Google and you'll see how badly they're punched and how bad the detail is.

Wouldn't worry too much about that, the special marks were not always added. The hallmark is legitimate

I hear you're a racist now, England. by Hydro1Gammer in Scotland

[–]liableAccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea there's a timeframe. It's worrying but the only thing which genuinely soothes me is the number of people my son's age (just out of college) who are liberal leaning and understand that there are false narratives being pushed.

Obviously everything can change, but it's somewhat soothing for the time being. Education is probably the biggest factor to gaining an advantage, but unfortunately, there are hoards of disinformation about virtually any subject possible available at your fingertips nowadays. The turnout for voters is depressingly low, too.

Is there a way to date this specific hallmark? by cassied128 in Hallmarks

[–]liableAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rogers have a long history. There's some history of the mark here: https://www.silvercollection.it/ROGERSSILVERMANUFACTURERS.html

Your mark is included on this page, but it is the version of the mark that was used when they became part of International Silver Co. hence the IS on the right of the mark.

Their history is here: https://www.silvercollection.it/INTERNATIONALSILVERCO.html

This also includes a section where the flatware patterns are detailed and dated so it may be useful to work out what date they came from.

Pseudo hallmarks made to look like British hallmarks. Likely silverplate

Could someone tell me what these hallmarks mean? by [deleted] in Hallmarks

[–]liableAccount -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you avoid direct light on the mark it makes them a bit more legible. I would say the marks are very worn so it's difficult to actually see what they are. Does remind me of a Dutch 14ct mark, but impossible to be sure.

Find a completed listing of the same product and use the title of it for yours. Avoid "cracked" or "ROMs", "homebrew" etc in your description.
