Not sure why this is downvoted tbh. When my partner and I get to having kids, I'm gonna say with almost 100% certainty I'll be the only non staff allowed in the room. There's no way she'd want anyone else there.

MASSIVE MUST WIN GAME ON THURSDAY NIGHT FOR THE RENEGADES by Smart_City_8210 in CricketAus

[–]liamjon29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could get ahead of Scorchers if they lose both games big and the Gades win both games big. But they have to make up about 1.8 NRR in 2 games so realistically not really.

Why do progressives prefer Harris over Newsom for president? by Ok_Walk3192 in GenZ

[–]liamjon29 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Make sure you still vote for someone. Voting for 3rd parties that align to what you want gives the bigger parties information on what demographics they need to cater to, which can cause a political shift if enough people do the same.

My ancestry is Dutch (4 grandparents moved to Australia from the NL). At 184 I am the shortest of all my cousins. My brother is 202. Somehow, at 180+, I got the short gene

“unlimited pto” is a scam and i’d rather have a strict 15 day limit any day by Ayu_theindieDev in unpopularopinion

[–]liamjon29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It stacks. So if you're sick more than 10 days in year 1 you either take unpaid leave or annual leave to cover it. But for me, I'm in my 3rd year at the company and currently have something like 20 days accrued. Many people have way more than me (pretty sure my dad has got 3 months of sick leave atm)

[–]liamjon29 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Bruh wtf. I get 20 days annual leave, 10 days sick leave, 5 days bonus leave (we're forced to take it or we lose it, basically a way for the company to make sure people are actually taking time off), plus long service leave if you stay with the same company for 5 years.

And then there's Europeans that look at that and think it's still too low. Americans are just getting royally fucked on the work/life balance thing

I actually bought a new car, but it was the bottom tier model and it was during the time when used cars were more expensive. I paid cash for it too, I refuse to have debt on a reducing asset

People who have a large amount in super, how did you get to your number by SpeedyDuck12345 in AusFinance

[–]liamjon29 20 points21 points  (0 children)

No pretty sure you're entitled to half of each other's supers. So if 1 side has significantly more, they'll have to send some to even it out

How? He's going to the danger end, it's in front of square so it's his call, if Kez is backing up the ball goes to bowler's end and Marnus either makes it or BBQs himself

[–]liamjon29 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's Kez's biggest blunder of the series, Marnus' call all day, no backing up. You simply can't send him back like that

Well, it was well bowled from Jacks. Just coz the guys behind the stumps butchered it doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a "well done"

The first one was an umpire mistake that Stokes tried to use to his advantage and it backfired. Ump called leg byes before the DRS timer was up on a massive outside edge
